My Murphy Book

A living legend like myself does not need any book. If a young lad is a great one then he can be a legend. If a young lad isnt a great one then this young lad is just a number. What's it going to be this year boys? Will you be a Living Legend or just another number. This Roy guy might have a little information on possible legends in the Sequatchie Valley this season

Roy I can't wait to hear your rundown on the teams this year!!! I'm dead-serious; I'll be checking this website you created everyday until I hear back from you. I need to know if me and my friends and family should be excited about our team this year. Let me know who the biggest players are because I know people like to get scared when they hear about how big some of these players are. Let me know who some of the new coaches are too. Oh and who can run the fastest. By the way...your website says "My Murphy Book". Did you get a hardback version or is it like all the rest of Murphy's magazines? Murphy always amazes me by how he can type up all those pages for everybody. I heard he makes each magazine himself.

:thumb::roflolk::thumb: I bet he has a heck of a time gluing those pages in. I bought mine at the Pig in Hartsville yesterday but I would still love to here what Roy has to say about it.

ooh dont go bustin on Murphy...what's up with people tonight? sports fans? this is supposed to be good natured fun. i guess you wanna get really particular and call out folks about calling a "magazine" a "book", then maybe I will point out to YOU that ole Roy is posting a "thread" not a "website"...but that would just be rude of me, now wouldnt it?!

Roy says this is a website and he would know!

I was just looking through my book and that Beck guy at Marion County didn't even fill out a survey. What is all that mess about? I hope I can refer to my last year copy and give some decent info about them. There will sure be some new boys out their and im sure they are alot stronger if they have lifted weights.

There are 3 possibilities.

1. He was to busy which isn't likely

2. He is worried about his team

3. He hopes to sneak up on everyone

I'm guessing its 3.

:thumb:4. The Living Legend offered the coach and all the "young lads" Living Legend status if they did not submit to Murf's request. You know what he says....if you ain't a living legend then your just another number. :roflolk:

    • With Westview only losing one senior and returning Sims, they have to be one of the favorites in AA
    • Watched Westview at McKenzie Thursday and they surprised me. Without Evans (who was sick) and Brent (who had thumb surgery shortly after getting back from her ankle injury), they looked solid. I didn’t realize Gray from SF had transferred in. You have Sims, Gray, Brent, Trevathan, and Evans and that’s a solid 5. Then, you bring in Hayden and Rogers off the bench along with some other upcoming and they will be tough again this year!
    • Hmmmmmm doe dee doe doe……sounds like they are leaving Geenback faster than the lawnmower will go in fifth gear.  Hmmmm….. you can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • West looked solid...excited to see this young group excel
    • When you have a school that right at 200 kids only half are going to be male and to get 25% of them to come out for football is a very hard task. Take away an 8th grade syatem and your you have another hill to climb up. If 5 kids are actually leaving your not going to have enough for practice. Your only chances for wins would be against the weakest of weak teams. At one time Greenback had kids coming across the wall like the Mexican Border and now their leaving town before sundown. A hugh mistake was made on not hiring Ryan back because of his ties to the community and his ability to bring in the right kids, not run them off. The last coach failed because he wasn't one of community so they go out and do it again. I'm sure Coach Clemmer is a good person because I do know people that do like him but he is caught in the middle of a fan base that will not support him no matter what and it could lead to a disaster if that many kids are leaving the program. The person that caused all of this mess has no business on the school board and needs to stick with hiding in the bushes giving out speeding tickets to out of towners coming through.
