Alcoa vs Maryville

Tyler is actually a DT. Jonavan Henry is at the other end and had a hack of a game on Friday. 99 will be backed up by Evans and Revels. Evans forced and recovered a fumble against Middlesboro. Both got a lot of snaps on defense. I just hate that a senior did not have the mental toughness to walk away. He will wind up missing more than one game.

I could have sworn he was at the End position. Hopefully it wont be as bad as I thought then. Thanks for the info

Who thinks that it won't be close?

alcoafan72 did you not read the very first post??? I have also seen other posts on another thread. Personally I would love to see the Tornadoes win by 2 or 3 td's. Just think the Rebels will be very tough at home. They have only lost 2 games at home in the last decade and those 2 were in 2000. This game will probably go into the 4th quarter undecided.

I have been enjoying this game for over 50 years and I have been disappointed lots of times. It is just a ballgme and whatever happens will be forever. Please allow the young people who have the privilege to play to have fun. As some people have said before, 10,000,000 people in Asia don't know and don't care what happens.

Looking forward to hosting the best game of the week, maybe the year! Bring those cowbells, milk jugs, and come on over to Shields Stadium on Thursday night. The best thing about this game other than the bragging rights is that each team will come away with where they need to improve and a pretty good idea of how they will fare in their region and playoffs. Last year, Alcoa obviously showed Maryville that they needed to improve offensive and defensive line play....Maryville became much stronger in both areas after week 1. Sorry Alcoa neighbors, I will be cheering for the Red and Black on Thursday, I will be pulling for the Tornados the rest of the way through state. Hope everyone plays a great game and stays healthy.

Ditto! :flower:

BTW...I failed to mention in my earlier post that I hope Alcoa comes away from this contest with a lot more knowledge of needed improvement than Maryville...lol. I'm guessing both teams will learn a lot about themselves on Thursday night.

Just curious...where is the flaw in the Alcoa machine this year? Any spectulation? I know you did not get any indications last week but are there still holes to fill?
