I went to the Jamboree and saw all the teams play and I did not think DB wanted show alot of what they have, but I #4 ran for about a 70 td and I thought someone said he was a sophmore. He was fast, how about your starting qb, what grade is he and does he throw the ball well and how is his speed? What do you think your weak area is on defense?(If any)

starting qb is a SR,He played wideout last yr and was a a standout on D,he's getting better with his throws still needs some work,but hes got the job done so far and OK speed.ME i think our run D could be better

Pretty quick. Word on the street is he has been clocked a 4.46 40. I think he throws the deep ball as accurate as I have seen, but it could just be that he throws it as high and as long as he can and #3 goes and grabs it down.

 

And you are correct, #4 is a soph. and will be a player for a couple more years. There are other sophomores that are playing varsity as well and are real contributors for the team.

 

I will say our weakness is D-Line, because we have a couple of people banged up.

Our weakness on D is the passing game, we have #33 at free safety #9 as strong safety and they do a great job getting to the ball. Corners can be burned at times, but work hard to stay with them. Linebackers, 2 sophmores and they are good to be young, 1 senior #26 gets to the ball good, all three hit well. Front line is our strength, big and fast, 3 seniors and 1 junior. To all you Boone guys, we need to quit running our mouths against DB and get behind these ball players to encourage them to play their best. They are down after the beating South gave us and still having problems. I got a call a while ago and they said Coach Jenkins got mad and sent the whole team home in the middle of practice. Gut check time for Boone.

I don't take the times because they know nothing about DB football.I can't imagine them calling our interior line out any more than you have.

I think we have a good O-line, and I have never said different. I just challenged you<<<<< on something that You said because my view was different. I did say Hall had better agility and speed than Hayworth but, that is not saying anything bad about him. Hayworth is bigger and stronger but thats not saying anything bad toward Hall. These are facts unlike you advertising for your friends kids. You called Hayworth out and said he was big man on campus, I challenged you on that. You can cry about what I said all you want and if you want to start this debate back up we can. Facts are facts and if you don't want to be challenged in your statements then you don't need to make them. I also said Michael Meece was doing a great job so, i think you may need to go back and read. Look Batman, you are a pansy that wants to sugar coats things and thats fine but we are not in peewee anymore. Just because their is a statement that someone needs to work on something or another may be able to do something better is not a put down, it's a competative sport and another good word for it is LIFE.

Ah Jeremy sent em home early the week of DB last year. He is just trying to get their attention. Which I hope that he does, but if he hasn't been teaching those boys to hold on to the football then he just might as well suit up the band. I looked at the stats on everyone in conference the other day and Boone is high in every category, but took a beating to South and IMO did not play good ball against Cherokee or Seymour. This team is the same as last years with the exception of a couple, but they sure aren't playing like it. Hope daddy has found a solution, or this could be a long 2 months.
