Can Maryville win a State Championship with out their shoulder stripes?

Maryville hasn't won a State Championship since they changed their jerseys. I think they should change back. This is what the old ones looked like.

When my diddy played there (1948) the Red Rebels jerseys were....well, red.

Although all the pictures I saw of him the jerseys looked grey. Pants different shade of grey...Even his skin, grey. Strange.

He also constantly reminded me that he never lost to Alcoa. I reminded him that one year, maryvile was scared to play them. (1947)

Fellers Mairvul wore tha Sholdur stripes way back in tha 60's.....Got away frum them in tha 70's, 80's, and urlee 90's.....Nike maiks tha LSU, Ole Miss, Sirrycuse jersey wif tha sholdur stripes.....

I like the new ones. But really what matters is the heart of the players wearing those jerseys. I believe our boys have the heart to bring that golden ball back where it belongs!!! GO REBELS

Maryville has a great team with a good shot of winning a Gold Ball. They just need to improve.

 

The future is really bright at Maryville. Not many seniors on the Maryville team. A lot of juniors and sophomores start. Freshman class is loaded. Prevo is the headliner in that class but there are other outstanding players in that class. Middle School team won the championship game vs Sevier County 40-12 today. A buddy of mine went to the game and texted me the score. MMS wasn't never challenged all year long. Dylan Shinsky is quick as a cat. He reminds me of Vee Hambrick and the Blanche brothers at Webb. Paul Bristol,Brice Miller,Christopher Stevens are other standouts on that team.
