I will have to take these one at a time... first the venue. The BLACKHOLE is a great place for a football game. There could be some improvements here and there but I like the atmosphere , I like that there is no track between the field and the stands. I do however believe that the fans should be more supportive with their energies during the game.

1. Back from White Station in '09 Championship. Haven't tackled him yet.

2. Riverdale - Semifinal '09. A non-event after so much hype and anticipation.

3. Again I'll go with White Station. At least on this end of the state they were

unheralded. Most thought the Maryville/Riverdale semifinal was the "real"

championship game. Oops.

4. Fewer restriction on noisemakers, banners, etc.

5. Hook and ladder - v. William Blount, 2007

6. Early 00's v. Melrose Final score: 7-6

1. I agree on the back from White Station. He was amazing.

2. 04 Semis Tennessee High-0 MHS-49 it was over in the first quarter.

3. I was surprised that Riverdale did'nt give us a better game 09.

4. The pressbox needs a upgrade.

5. The fourth & three against William Blount in 2000. Rhino formation - TJ Brock ran for about sixty yards. According to Coach White & GQ, that one play turned the entire 2000 season around after the 0-4 start AND according to GQ may have turn the entire decade. Maryville won against WBHS for the first win that year.

Indeed OldReb2, that 2000 win against my Govs was the start of something real special.

 

My (5) would be the same as FatherRebs: the hook and latter against WB in the 2007 game. I would like to believe, as a WB homer, that if we had stopped you there, we would have ended your win streak. There was still plenty of game left, but that would have been a huge momentum swing for WB had they stopped it ... much in the same way that it was a huge momentum swing for Maryville when they pulled it off.

 

For (7) ... Stars just about had the younger two Walker brothers (Darren and TJ) in the Maryville fold ... they were actually enrolled at Maryville for a couple of monthes ... but fortunately, at least for us, we were able to get them back.

1-QB-white station, QB-sullivan south, Riggs-red bank

2-Red bank(pick a year)

3-White Station 2009

4-More and better concessions i.e. wings,burgers,bbq that type stuff maybe even from outside venders, it needs to be something that people will remember

5-on side kick against Alcoa
