Maybe we can exorcise some of those demons from the late 90's early 2000's. Regardless it will bring back some bad memories seeing the Rams come to Benton.

POLK HAS CAME LONG WAY FROM THOSE TEAMS OF THE PAST.. IM SURE IF WE CAN HANDLE SOUTH PITT WE CAN PLAY WITH TYNER AS WELL THESE DAYS.. WE HAVE ACCUSTOMED OUR SELF TO PLAYIN SPEED SINCE THEN WITH PLAYIN HOWARD AND SOUTH PITT AND BRADLEY IN THE LAST FEW YRS.. I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR UR TAKE RAM FAN.. HOWW DO U THINK THAT MATCH UP WOULD BE....

...'polkalumni'...I don't know about that, now...the last time we played each other was for the District Championship and Polk was driving (and inside the 15yd line)...it took everything we had to make the stop on that 'big' fullback y'all had(I forgot his name)...but it was exciting game...our coaches (me included) have the utmost respect for Coach Davis and his staff!!!

...IF things play-out as predicted, it will be game that (in my opinion) will be a toss-up...'new season', both teams wanting to advance, both have exceptional athletes...I think one other person said it will come down to which team makes the least amount of mistakes(at critical times) and which team stays focused when faced with adversity!!!

I graduated with Shane. He was great player and a great teammate.

    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
    • Gunner Warren was the second starter, freshman. SP #1 arm impressed me last night.
