South Fulton short trip to Union City

Bigster, still too early to tell on playoff brackets. The number 1 critera for getting in is to earn 1st on 2nd in district then you are a automatic qualifier. Next is overall record for the wildcard spots. The 6 wins puts South Fulton in because of that. This year we will have some 5-5 teams in the playoffs due to number of wildcard slots available and Huntingdon will be in at 4-6 if they lose to McKenzie because they are an automatic qualifier. The brackets could change if more West TN teams Qualify (Bruceton and Union City have the best chance with wins). That would bump middle TN teams back to Quads 2 and 3 which could benefit LC if they win at Greenfield by moving to the 2 slot and getting a bye. Alot of 4 and 5 win teams out there playing Friday. Those are the teams that will essentially determine how the brackets shape up. The projections now are just that and really have very little validity until all games are done.

Thanks Wardawg

Bigster I meant to add as well the thing alot of coaches do not like is the seeding situation. After the 24 teams are selected they will be placed on the map and placed into 4 quads based on location. The six closest together will be placed in their respective quads 1,2,3 or 4. AFTER they get 4 six team quads then those teams will be seeded. This seeding will be based on overall wins. So even if say UC beats South Fulton tonight, the Red Devils will have a higher seed due to the fact they have 6 wins and UC has five does not matter who finished higher in the district or who won head to head. That is what gripes alot of coaches b/c they feel that district standings and such should count for something

I was just talking to a friend of mine from Halls that Union City would be in under the old system but even if they win with the system now..Would finish 2nd in the district as far as the Single a teams are concerned and would have a win over South Fulton but still maybe not get in.I told him,I could see Union City fans squabbling now and really have a valid point. If that happens..maybe Union City should be on the phones with teams like Fulton Co and Fulton City themselves..lol

What time is kickoff????

I plan on being there..According to the Union City Messenger..they have their game at 7:30

Based on what I read..both Central and Union City are having senior nights with Central having their activities starting at 6;30 and their game at 7:00..Then it said the Union City festivities were going to start at 7:00 followed by the game..So I'm assumming 7:30 for Union City
