The fact that South is playing Boone in the first round is proof that this years version of the playoffs is BS. That said, IMOP, West is the best team in the state in 5A.

 

I;m going to go with one of those Memphis teams comp, word is they are pretty much clicking right along and have speed that anyone in upper east doesn't have. Also, I still am glancing over at Beech and Henry and thinking they are right in the mix, but they are stuck in Quad 3.

You may be right (doubt it) that South wins, but Boone's defense has step up the last six games and have only gave up 55 points total. So if South wins this game I can not see their score as high as 4

This is almost a carbon copy of every Boone post from last year's playoff game. If you all need some extra Boone Pride or Boone has Pride signs let us know. There were a lot of them left laying in the stands after the game last year.

Just trying to be neighborly. Didn't say you were "scurred". Just sayin' your new guy comes on and his/her first post starts talking about this and that and it really did sound like last year.

Haha I hear ya. It is like that from our side every time this game comes around. It is a rivalry on the Boone side cause we haven't found an answer to the South bug....yet. With South, history suggests that they just know how to get the job done against the Gray boys. With Boone running on all cylinders, just like the Rebels, it does look to be a good one.

Honestly Blazer... is there a game Boone plays that you haven't said was a "RIVALRY"? Sounds like you guys got a big chip on your shoulders.

Hmmm.....North, Central, Volunteer, Seymour, and Cherokee. TN High, DB, South, SH, and Crockett are the games I love to see...come on now you want to beat on the giants door and get ready for those games, not shy away and roll over!

I hear ya. :thumb: I guess for me it would be South, DB, and now Boone. Not necessarily in that order.

After watching some Ridgeway clips here I believe you're right, Blazer. It will take a great effort to stop them.

I see Boone winning this game anyway.

      Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?

      Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
