Umm....well......and you also post about other posters and comment on their choice of posts....

let me rephrase that... i never attack the culture of the fans or the area or region of where the fans are from... as in there cultural background.. in other words where and how u are raised.... like some of our fans were talkin about u havin rich kids born with a silver spoon and stuff like that.. to me thats garbage ... its always my view or opinion on the game, the outcome , and how the teams will react to certain adversity the game will throw at them...... oh and glad u liked the speed thing... hope to see ya in about 19 hrs......

but I honestly think we can take a team that lost to Alcoa by 17 points any day of the week. Alcoa is maybe a touchdown better than us. I, however see them as our equal in ability, but that is just me.

ummm you are crazy sgt eaglefart, (oops fort)

it will take every player on polk team to play flawless . and if they come like they did when they played tyner its over for us (polk) . eagle you must have not seen any tapes on cak they look like they could play with the vols and score on them . polks running game is very good but they need long drives to keep caks o off the field . no doubt polk will score and they do have big play o too. looks like it going to be a air raid vs a ground raid . and we all know what happens in the war movies when a air raid comes . good luck to polk i think you can win but you will need luck . anything can happen hope both teams come out with no injuries polk by 6

I'm not going to get into the back and forth on here mostly because I've got some redneck tendencies and because I believe everything said was just in good fun.

As for the game, it will be rough going for Polk. To quote Coach Davis,

“Last year they were 10-2; they only lost to Alcoa in the playoffs and regular season. This year they are 10-1. Their only loss is to Alcoa. I can’t speak for out in West Tennessee but they are probably the best 3A team besides Alcoa and they scored 33 on Alcoa." He went on to say that in his 11 years of coaching this was by far the most sophisticated offense he had seen.

I wish the best of luck to Polk and I hope they can pull this one out. If that doesn't happen then I hope that CAK will get over the hump and make it to Cookeville.

Hope all the Polk fans traveling to Knoxville have a safe trip there and back home again.

Polk will be physical no doubt about that. If the warrior defense can get some early three and outs, polk will be in trouble. Their offense doesn't lend itself to large deficit comebacks. I don't see polk holding cak under 30. However I believe that the polk running game of grind, grind, bust a big play will be more than the cak d can handle. Expect a close game in the 40s with the team with the fewest turnovers moving on to round 3.

It appears that all of Tennessee should stay home so Polk Co can play Greeneville in the Tennessee God of Football Bowls. Nevermind that neither team has ever won a State Championship or as far as I know, played for a State Championship. According to the experts on CoachT these are the two most physically dominate smash mouth, hardest hitting teams in Tennessee and nobody, including the Vols or Titans stand a chance. All bow down to the mighty....whatever your nicknames are.

Disclaimer: this is a poor imitation of Lenards Losers. No insults intended, just for fun, so "lighten up Francis"

The Polk Wildcats will be putting their passion and pride on the line this Friday night when they skidaddle up the holler to KnoxVegas. The boys in red will bring their rough and tumble style of play to the city to show those pretty boy private school preppies from CAK what real football is all about. But these Wildcats will run into a group of Warriors who've been down the Ocoee River rapids more than once and will know how to handle things when the going gets tough. After chasing Warrior receivers around all night the Wildcats will feel like a 4 year old getting off the whirlybird ride at the Polk Co. fair.

Football Dads Forecast: CAK 35 Polk 14

FBD, Great post, your gettin good at the leonard's Losers stuff. Still laughing on this one.

Observations:

1. Polk is the underdog.

2. Everything I've seen here and elsewhere says Polk goes home til next year after tonight.

3. 'nanner pudding.

4. Evidently Polk needs a jumping castle thingy with fog to be taken seriously. (hmm what material would be needed to stop cleats from poking holes in it?)

5. 'nanner pudding.

6. Both sides (three sides if you count APB and his minions lol) of the fan base get out of hand predicting blah blah blah. I've been careful about that (or at least tried to), we will see what we see tonight.

7. I hope everybody has a safe trip. Polk is letting out at 1pm today - should be a fine turnout at CAK for tonight's game.

8. It's Friday - why not close this thread before it gets worse than it already is? I'm sure that somebody will start a crow thread later tonight.

Go Polk!

    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
