Hey, I said the same thing. I stated that we were not nervous except for early in the 3rd when they cut it to 4 and I still got killed. I have read that post multiple times and have determined that either he is thin skinned or was just way too upset after a loss.

Not for sure but think his home team is the Cheatham Cubs of Ashland City. He is like a lot of us and keepes up with 3A football thoughout the area. He also has run the playoff pickem game every year. I think he keeps a little purple in his closet though he doesn't want anyone to know. LOL. All in good fun my friend.

Hey, I am all about having fun on here too, but you should go back to the Fairview thread and reread what he said about me and then tell me he meant that in good fun.

I pretty sure Gerry is a Fairview native.

And if someone get all butthurt over a coacht post, o well. Its not like their arm fell off or their dog died. They'll get over it.

Nobody needs to argue with Milan fAns. I am originally from there and they are the most obnoxious group of fans I have ever seen. They could have a 2-10 record but somehow they are still the greatest thing since sliced bread.

hard to argue with 4 gold balls, 3 silver balls and 30 straight playoff appearances. i guess you wouldn't know that since there are only 10 games in a regular season. :roflol:

Dont know where you are getting this,Camden gets flagged regularly every game, the Manassass game especially. When Camden visited Milan in 07,that was a official beatdown and I dont mean by Milan............

The only call I remember that was awful was the call when chase horton scored (called back) and we woulda went up three scores. Other than that, it was a good ballgame.

Also, see my earlier post on why penalties happen.

I'm not arguing with that. And how would I not know that? As I stated earlier, I was born and raised in Milan. I went to school there and played sports. I just can't stand how their fans always think they are the best team ever and they never give credit to any other teams.

This game has a similar feel to the 07 game. Milan was coming in off of a poor performance the game before. Milan was young and everyone picked Camden to win the game. J.W. Williams and Jobronski Gilbert both had big games that day, really the game that started the Gilbert era. Us Milan fans can only hope it turns out the same way. Who has the advantage? Milan has several players that have started in 2 state championship games, but also a few kids who are starting in their first quarterfinal game. Camden has never made it past here and is the elder and favored team. Milan's kids have played in front of these huge crowds time and time again but Camden is playing at home. IMO(not exactly profound) the teams are probably pretty similar in ability, ergo the team that makes the fewer mistakes and performs the best on special teams will win. Who folds under the pressure?

Also, lots of good info over at Milan Bulldog Football Stats/Rosters/Newspaper Articles etc. Kind of an old Milan/Huntingdon feel here. Good to see some parity in West Tenn this year.

Glad I don't have thin skin. Some people might get their feelings hurt when you say their team is "very beatable". Just like some people get their feelings hurt when it is said that the better team won. Just sayin'

Haha I think you stated Milan was the superior team. I would argue otherwise and that is why I called you out. Milan was superior to Lewis Co. Fairview played toe to toe to Milan all night. The score was no indication of how close the game was and how physical the game was. The stats don't indicate how close the game was, Fairview lost over 50 yards rushing on bad snaps. I would love to set down with you and breakdown the film and you will see these two teams are pretty close to one another. Turnovers and bad officiating was the difference. (The Illegal Motion "no" call changed the entire momentum of the game.)

Like I said Milan is very beatable. If Camden can throw the ball enough to keep only 7 Bulldogs in the box, they will win easily. Sorry no purple in this closet. However I will go ahead and say the winner of this game will NOT be in Cookeville. Pearl Cohn or Goodpasture will represent the West this season.

camden is a very good program since ward took over(he's from milan). westview has a very good program. can't say enough about huntington and union city. also crockett co. since pratt took over(he's also from milan). there are you satisfied? let's call a spade a spade, milan is the most successful non private program in west tenn. you can't argue with that. come on dude show a little hometown spirit. you can't hate on success. we are very proud of our program and all it's success and we can't help but brag a little. :thumb:

I think PC will beat GP. Just looks to me that PC has played tougher teams during 2010. That being said I think someone west of the river goes back to Cookeville to face the beast.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
