tnguy31
Lol Doct, I'm on your side. My comment about smacking them around is because BA went into the game expecting to roll them and got shocked. I think Ensworth saw us at our worst this season, in that game. I feel that BA is much better today because of that loss.
nike7
I agree, had it not been for the loss against ensworth I believe BA would be no where near the team they are today

Also watched Baylor streaming on their site. Baylor won handily. Unless Ensworth gets on track it looks like a BA vs Baylor championship. Manzikert
KW I am watching as well. Also watched Baylor streaming on their site. Baylor won handily. Unless Ensworth gets on track it looks like a BA vs Baylor championship. Ensworth wins 20-19. Quite finish. BA led the whole way and had it 1st & Goal on the Ensworth 5 leading 16-13 with about 5 or 6 minutes to go. Ensworth pushed them back to 4th & goal on the 25. BA kicked a 42 yard FG to go ahead 19-13. Enswworth couldn't move it and punted. BA couldn't move and punted. Ensworth moved to the 50 , then took a big sack and had a penalty to make it 3d &33 on their own 8. Parker completed a 40 yard pass to Dingess, then a 30 yard pass to McDermott and a 12 yard TD pass to Batey. Kick was good putting Ensworth up 20-19 with 30 seconds to go. BA had a couple of gains, then got a big holding penalty. Time ran out, Ensworth wwins 20-19. Ensworth vs Baylor for the title.
nike7
BA simply made a couple mistakes at the worst times. However there is a picture circulating that clearly shows that the game winning touchdown was clearly out of bounds.
Bucksfan
BA simply made a couple mistakes at the worst times. However there is a picture circulating that clearly shows that the game winning touchdown was clearly out of bounds. Eye witnesses say that is was the worst call they have ever seen. How can they blow a call that big in a semi-final game? There is a 6ft difference between the solid line and the dashed one. The crew and the TSSAA should be embarassed, the lines are solid and dashed to avoid any obvious confusion, appearantly that didn't work. Too bad for the kids to be robbed on something so easy to call. T$$AA probaby won't care is doesn't affect the bottom line.

Here is a video of the final, controversial touchdown of the game: I do not believe there is any chance that the official actually managed to confuse the endzone line with the dashed line. The video makes it appear the receivers' foot was on the line, but the video was taken from a pretty bad angle so it is hard to tell. Regardless, with the momentum they had and the 2 timeouts, it appears Ensworth would have almost certainly scored, anyway. Fantastic game. Both teams fought incredibly hard and deserved to win. reed11588
After watching the video it seemed to me that the receiver was out of bounds when he landed. However, there is no instant replay in HS football and therefore all players are subject to the same potentially wrong calls by officials. It is impossible to say that even if the player was ruled out of bounds that Ensworth would have scored almost certainly. These are 15-18 year old kids we are talking about; anything can happen. I agree that momentum is very important, but stranger things have happened. That being said, great comeback by Ensworth and heartbreaking outcome for BA. Good luck to Ensworth in the state finals, but go Baylor.
