I think this may be the top five but not in the right order...Howard again beat Tyner by double digits...but i really dont know who is better of the four..Howard McCallie Red Bank and Tyner but i dont feel Tyner is #1..i dont feel either of the four has done enough to be #1...but i think that CSAS is not in the top 5!!!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but numbers don't lie. CSAS has beat Howard, McCallie, blew out Hixson and Brainerd has two of the better guards in the city, plays 12 legit, and has actively scheduled the "best" teams in the city and beat them....and they are 18 - 4. Their only losses are to Tyner in over - time, Hixson with two of their starters hurt and out, at E. Literature (Nashville)and at Howard in the first game back from injury of several of their starters... also CSAS can play multiple styles. If they have not proven that when healthy, they are one of the best teams in the city, then who has?

My new rankings at this point in the season (My final rankings will be determined after the region tournaments):

1. CSAS

2. Red Bank

3. Howard

4. Tyner

5. McCallie

Looking at the scores in the paper it seems McCallie had its way with Tyner beating them by nearly 20. CSAS appeared to struggle somewhat with Grace and Red Bank lost to Baylor earlier in the week. Just goes to show that any team can win on any night. Good luck to all Chattanooga teams come postseason play.

lol yes i am bias but i dont make excuses..i said howard was green and would make a run but to my surprise they went on a RAMPAGE...they proved they are the best team in the city once again...I didnt make excuses i told you what was gonna happen and it did...its rare for csas to beat Howard and the sun shined on them this year like it does once every million years...lol like i said this team had to gel and i knew they were going through some growing pains...but cmon man they are better than csas...but i give it to ya...with yall being in the weaker division i actually think yall are ready for the state tourney but how do you think they will be if they played in Howards district

Hixson and Brainerd are not good!!! Howard beat Brainerd by 30 almost They have only played tyner once..they havent played redbank...and you are right numbers dont lie because Howard beat CSAS Red Bank and Tyner twice and both of those games were very easy wins...so your right numbers dont lie

I never said Howard wasnt better than CSAS or the best team in the city my argument this whole time has been that CSAS is one of the top 5 teams in the city. like i have said before I hope to see at least 3 chattanooga teams in the state tournament, CSAS, Howard and whoever else. If CSAS was in the district with Howard I really think they could finish in the top 3. They have split with Howard lost to tyner by single digits and beat Brainerd. not bad for a single A team

I'm saying it...This year, CSAS IS better than howard. Moose is doing a great job getting his guys to play well at the right time but overall CSAS has the edge this year in expierence, depth, consistancy, and overall basketball skill and IQ. Despite being a small single A team, they have played an AA schedule. I saw the game at Howard and if CSAS had hit the wide open shots it normally hits (http://chattanoogan.com/articles/article_192893.asp) it would not have been close. Tyner has struggled lately (don't know why) losing to Howard, (East Ridge!?)Red Bank and McCallie so while beating a Tyner and Red Bank are good district wins for a young Howard team it does not prove they are the better team. In my opinion, Howard would have to win the district tournament to prove they are the #2 team in the city.

y do you keep saying Brainerd? they are terrible..so you beat a green Howard in its first game of the season..and no matter what you say Howard beat CSAS...just like i said they would..CSAS is so consistant that Howard has lost 1 game more than them lol not to mention Howard lost 3 of those games early and gave one of them away against Maplewood..but Howard has played the tougher schedule of the two teams and CSAS wouldnt win this district you are the only one who would say that...
