D2A
I could be wrong but i believe the financial aid program that he is speaking of is Goodpastures work study program. Kids that can not afford tution can do differnt odd jobs around the school and it helps pay their tuition.

IF that his reference, then it is comletely legal for both athletes and non-athletes, a lot of privates schools do that. It is a work study program that does exactyl what you say work for tuition breaks. Again just throwing out terms that stir it up instead of doing a little homework. I wonder if some people are just mad because their kid is not being "recruited" by a private school.

Not really true. Maybe you should look at some of the discussions on Public "Open-Zoned" schools and recruiting.
copacanobra
Prove it. Don't say anything unless you have proof to back up your words. i know people who went to goodpasture and they told me that their freshmen year they had 20 kids transfer in to play football. now there's no way at least a few of those kids werent recruited

Find out where they were coming from and when that happened, because many schools especailly privates see a spike in enrollment after a great season. Bottom line people want to play for and be a part of winning programs. Take a look and see how true it is. They probably came from everywhere and sometimes it going where their friends go, the other question is how many of them graduated and or played their senior year. Probably not many. SmashMouthFootball85
In my eyes, I don't mind recruting. What I do mind is prviate schools in the same districts as public schools. The should all be in d-2. Just let the recruits play the recruits and see what happens. Once again I am NOT accusing any certain team of doing it. This is the kinda of bull they need out of High School sports!
greenergrass
It shocks me how many people like you want to jump on their high horse and act like their school doesnt recruit. Goodpasture recruits just like every other private school and alot of public schools. The reason nobody will turn anyone in for it is because they ALL do it! Some more so then others of course. Whoa now. All private schools do not recruit. Don't lump us all in the Goodpasture, CPA crowd.

SmashMouthFootball85
Public schools can't play in D2, so why does private play in D1?
BDP2003
Lets put the recruiting crap to bed because we could argue for weeks about it. As a White House fan, how is GP looking this year on the field??
