MTCS has a scrimmage with Ezell-Harding on Saturday. I know Ezell has their starting catcher still playing hoops but not sure about others.

 

Anyone else have scrimmages this week-end?

 

 

Cascade has Murfreesboro Central Magnet School at noon Saturday.

Huntland still has a few (SS/P and C) playing hoops don't they?

That would be correct....6 players... 4 of last year starters...dont read too much into this scrimmage...it was little more than a practice since Huntland only had 10 kids total on the night

Moore county scrimmages tullahoma tommorrow and then has a play date in community on saturday

MTCS looked slightly improved in the Ezell scrimmage. Ezell was missing a few key players due to hoops. Still waiting for the bats to heat up.

 

Next scrimmage is scheduled for Saturday vs. MLK.

Cascade had a good scrimmage against Central Magnet. Everyone out there. I hear everyone's #1 & #2 Pitchers are back, from all teams in the district. Should make for a competitive season.

I think that is correct. I have seen a schedule change that indicates that it is true.

With Huntland losing in the semi-finals of the regions last night all District 9-A teams are full bore baseball at this point. Hope all have good weather for the next 12 days or so.

 

Season starts March 14th.

I hope Community shows improvement from last year. I think a player or 2 went to SCHS.

MTCS was soundly thrashed Monday by Columbia Academy. I know it is pre-season and it is early and all of that stuff but the boys need step it up in the intensity department. Need some fire-in-the-belly if you know what I mean.

 

Redkuda -- how many baseball boys are still playing hoops at Eagleville?

 

There were 6 still playing hoops but they started practicing this week on Wednesday I believe. That includes Hammonds who wrestles as well.

Moore County scrimmaged Huntland and MC won 7-5.. MC did very well on hitting and pitching.

 

Wonder why they scrimmaged a district rival? Anyway I would figure MC will be pretty tough this year.

That would be correct on Boyd, not sure if it was a lack of players or politics as they had about 15 to 20 players last year.
