Moore County tied Cannon County 3-3 and then beat Grundy County 9-1..Will play Covenent Christian tommorrow at South Pitt..Moore County looks like a very good team this year!!

Opening Day is finally here for the MTCS Cougars. JV plays at 1:00 Varsity plays at 3:30. All games at Franklin Road Academy in Nashville, TN. Follow the Cougars at mtscscoreupdate.

 

Could be some interesting line-ups on the field at times. Sophomores are still on a school trip and the seniors just got back from Washington DC/New York late last night.

Eagleville lost 3-6 to Franklin Co., we gave up 3 in the first inning, after that our pitcher settled down and did well for the remainder of the game. Take off that first inning and it was a tie at the end with Eagleville having runners on 1st and 2nd with 2 outs last batter lined out to 3rd. We've took some lumps against last yrs 2A State runner up and somewhat to 3A FCS but the boys have looked better each game, better D and better hitting, now if our pitchers will settle down and find their rythem maybe we can get to work on Monday/Tuesday with Huntland.

 

By the way who did Moore Co. throw against Huntland for their win? Was it Boyce? and who did Huntland have on the mound?

No it was just a stupid move from huntland..You had to win 2 games in pool play to go to the South Pitt finals..Why in the world would you put a JV team in a tournament..It had nothing to do with the move from the MC coach it was just a stupid one from the huntland coach..

ding.ding.ding...Wrong again....ask your coach and see if he will tell the truth...2 coaches+1 friendly agreement+1 act of friendship abuse= 1 Moore Co win to get them to the Sat tournament....get the TRUTH..if you can Huntland Varsity lost to Grundy Co 7-5 and beat Cannon Co.10-0 the JV lost to Moore Co 15-1...FACT!

Ding ding ding wrong again.. The only thing that the Huntland coach told the MC coach was that he was starting a JV pitcher.. So then MC started a JV pitcher..And he took out almost all of the varsity players and switched them for JV players after they scored 5 or 6 runs.. And a Freshman Pitcher pitched over half the game.. The only thing that huntland told mc was that there was a JV pitcher on the mound.. It was a tournament anyway..Why would you start a Jv team it makes zero sense..Its not like they pitched Boyce or anything..They let a Sophomore pitcher pitch the first inning and the Freshman pitch the rest..If the JV team cant handle a Freshman pitcher they dont put them out there in a tournament game..If Huntland would of put in the whole varsity team it would have been a real good game to watch considering that it is going to be a tight race this year between MC,Huntland,Eagleville,and Cascade..

FRA beats MTCS 9-5. MTCS looked sloppy. If they don't improve it will be a long season.
