MountainTroll
Does the football have to break the plane of the goal line on a kickoff to be a touchback? In our game last week the return guy jumped up to catch the kickoff and keep it from going into the endzone. His first foot came down at the 1/2 yard line, and his second foot came down in the endzone. The ref explained to me that since his first foot came down in play and the ball never broke the plane, that it was not a touchback.

His feet are irrelevant.

I guess that's why they put their 6'6" basketball player on the goal line to try to jump up and catch the kickoff before it crossed the plane. cayce13
Are there any restrictions for headset communication on the sideline or in the box?
Red Rebels
This is hypothetical. If there was a legitimate move, let's say because of a job transfer and the parents sold the house and moved to another city, would a student athlete be eligible in football for the playoffs? Would it matter if he came from a playoff eligible team or one that was not in the playoffs?
