Crazy night of basketball in Region 5-AA, but at the end of the night, arguably the four best teams won and move on to the next round. Tuesday night:

 

CPA vs. East Lit

Sycamore vs. Maplewood

 

Only two of these four teams move on and two will end their season. All four may belong in Murfreesboro but the system will not allow it.

 

Should be a fun night of basketball at Vol State.

I remember the CPA - Lipscomb District finals two years ago when Lipscomb almost pulled off a similar stall ball game. Although CPA won, I hated watching the game.

East Lit and Sycamore lead entire game and both get double digits wins over CPA & Maplewood. Have to be honest, didn't see this happening. Great crowds! Should be fun for the finals.

Let me get this right fullcourtpress22, 10AA talks all this smack leading up to the region tournament and then when they get beat- all is silent on the boards.

I don't think so, 9AA has great coaching and they play hard- glad that is where my kids will compete.

Comon 10AA- where are all the CPA and Maplewood people now? CPA looks like they had their dog stolen or something last night. You aint talking any trash now are you?

Sycamore (and East Lit) played great last night.

It was fun to watch. All we've heard is Sycamore can't beat so and so; Sycamore is going to get blown out by so and so. Guess what? So and So are at home now watching!!

What a crazy regional tournament. Congrats to East Lit. and Sycamore for advancing to the finals. It is unbelieveable to me that the news channels don't report about these games on Sports at night. Thats one reason to still buy a newspaper. It was surprising that both Sycamore and East Lit. advanced. With that being said, I'll throw in with Sycamore and predict them to win Thursday. Go Dist 9AA. BTW, it is eerily quiet on here without the Maplewood and CPA folks. BDP!
