My team prevailed a short while ago but it is a shame that in the Final 4, probably te two best teams could not play their game because of the foul situation....both sides took a major hosing! How do you call close to 50 fouls in a game like this?? Sorry for Cannon Co, happy for the Chargerettes...but still sad the game was called as it was. Oh, yea...Chargerettes in a close one IF they get to play!

Man, I would love to see this game live - not enough to postpone a trip to the beach, but close.

I got to see both of these teams up close and personal as my David Lipscomb Lady Mustangs came up short (no pun intended) against both. How will it turn out? Who knows!

I'd give the edge to Macon County's guards - yes, guards, not posts. I think they are very good but underrated.

I'd have to give the edge to McMinn's "big girls" but they are by no means big compared to Macon County's bigs.

I just think McMinn's bigs move to well for Macon's to keep up with for long. But, the guards will be out there, too. It'll be a war. If the refs call it as close as they did in the DL/McMinn Central game (waaaayyyy too close if you ask me - not that DL would have won if it wasn't) I think it favors McMinn Central. So, assuming the nitpicking refs will stay true to form, I'm going with McMinn Central by 2 - in overtime! Why not?!

Good luck to both teams!

I am sure the state is giving instructions to the officials. Many times when you get to this level in any sport football, baseball, wrestling or softball, you wonder what happens to the officials who call the game, strive for consistency and common sense application of the rules go during state tournament action. Officials from local associations all over the state to do these. There is somebody assigned by the state that supervises officials. He is responsible for how rules are going to be interpetted during state tournament play. Maybe we will get crew tomorrow that you will never notice is even there. Good officials should be able to be invisible at this level of play.

Way to go Tigerettes you ladies proved the old saying it aint over till its over. not many gave you girls much of a chance against a heavy favored Manassas and Liberty team. But guess what your in the championship game Trousdale Co is proud of you young ladies and prouder still to have you as neighbors.Stay focused, steer away from turnovers and mental mistakes and make every opportunity count, and no doubt the Gold ball will be looking pretty in the trophy case at your school.Remember it aint the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog.You can do ladies.Go Macon Co. Tigerettes!!! :roflolk::thumb:

    • Wouldn't the easiest move be to move McCall up to HS Principal and have Gulley take over as MS Principal?
    • Bounder, you are correct. And it is so easy today. As a civilian today, I can check my 6th grade grandson’s grades in real time. 46 years ago as a young head coach, I knew who were my weak students and would do a weekly check. A decade and 1/2 later as an administrator, I would ask guidance for attendance, and grade reports as I did my own discipline reports. 5 years later I could run all those reports in a few minutes. today Text one the Secretaries and they can create a red flag report only printing the names with D’s and F’s or attendance and discipline issues. You are not even dealing with a whole team. The only problem with modern technology is someone who might not want to know.
    • No I didn't,  I just know jellico lost a few and should in playoffs tho....but they have alot coming in the next few yrs
    • The buck stops with the head coach, he should have know if any of his players  were not making the required grades. Either he has someone checking weekly before games and reporting to him or he should do it himself.
    • Freedom Prep has discontinued their football program. These are the teams that were on their schedule in case you are looking for a game:
