Everyone knew he would leave when the senior class graduated. Its sad that coaches cant build a program and stay with it through thick and then. I feel bad for the kids they deserve someone who wants to be there and build the program and stick with it.

Know for a fact thats not why he left. Or why previous coaches have left. No exit interview should be a clue.

Losing a coach every few years says more about the administration instead of the coaches that have coached their. I do feel bad for the kids though.

From DNJ.com:

MURFREESBORO — Former Jackson Christian football coach Brian Stewart has been named the new football coach at Middle Tennessee Christian School.

Stewart, 38, replaces David Peden. Peden resigned earlier this month to accept the offensive coordinator position at Battle Ground Academy.

Stewart won the Class 1A state football championship in 2006 in his first season as head coach at Jackson Christian. He was the head coach there though the 2009 season, amassing a 30-19 record throught four seasons. His teams made the playoffs in three of his four seasons.

Stewart went 8-4 at Mobile Christian in Alabama last year, falling to eventual state champion Leroy High in the Class 2A quarterfinals.

    • I have no idea who your team is, but Memphis and other Shelby Co. schools have hardly made a dent, if you’re talking Game 15 appearances. Outside of a couple by Whitehaven, I can’t recall the last team in a final.
    • Robbed you guy at a chance of 3 state championships. You never kne, sond best team in the west my have beat you also, but you sure deserved the chance to play um.
    • Eagleville also loses Brown the catcher, Lamb CF, Mclemore RF (Heck of an athlete) and Drew the 1st baseman. They will be young.
    • Good thing we aren’t in Florida then huh? It would benefit a ton of the smaller schools  that don’t have the pools of kids to choose from! They should start by policing Shelby County like they do the rest of the state! Something has to change though and TSSAA knows that!
    • Correct, you can whimsically be fired in coaching. A coach that has tenure can stay on as a teacher if released from coaching. If you don’t have tenure as a teacher, you can fired without cause. Your last year as a teacher before tenure is earned you can be fired, but must be given cause. A tenured teacher can be fired, but it is a long hard process requiring the 3 D’s…. documentation, documentation and documentation. I have released 3 tenured teachers, 2 with PHD’s. However, teacher contracts had and still have clauses that state you can be fired for a variety reasons re: being arrested, public drunkenness, inappropriate relationships ect.
