Best HS Running Backs the last 10 years?

Recommended Posts

LOL YES. SORRY

2008 Class AAA Mr Football Tausean Holmes (Millington) had a SPECIAL season in 2008. He averaged over 11 yards per touch and was truly a threat to score on every touch. And to think He couldn't get on the field in 2006 and 2007 (State Semis) because of the talent in the backfield (Travis Simpson) and (Aaron West). Simpson is the one that befuddles me. He had SEC size (6'0" 215 pds) and speed (4.38 in the forty) yet he did not play college ball. Granted he did not have the grades, But why wasn't he placed in a JC and then picked up 2 years later? IMHO, He is a more gifted prospect than any of the 4 star RB's here in Memphis this year (Robison, Dawson, Kimbrough, etc). Curious what other Shelby County folks think? Or any of you Indepenence Fans that came came down and saw him play in the State Semi game.

Eugene Cousart -Whitehaven c/o '02... My classmate and teammate. He had over 1900 yds rushing our season He was 01-02 Mr. Football Runner-Up 01-02 to Ralph King

Ralph King- Riverdale c/o '02... Had to be good!

Nate Minor- Melrose c/o '02... Super cold

Graig Cooper- Melrose c/o '05 or '06 can't remember exactly, but he signed to Miami and was drafted to the NFL for a reason. Led Melrose to back to back state championship games. He was a mini-Marshall Faulk in High School.

Joe Doss- Melrose c/o '03 or '04. Big time High school talent.

That Milington BackField from a few seasons ago ('07 or '08) was big time. Too bad Millington doesn't do a better job at gettin their guys in school!!!! <_<
