orangeandwhite
I wonder if those parents that watched their kids throw things at DB players had seen that happen to their kids what would they do? And we wander how society has gotten where it is today, anyway ROLL TRIBE!!
rebelredneck
That display by the South student section was one of the worst displays of unsportsman like conduct i've seen ever. Booing our band when we walked on the field and then throwing water bottles at our players when they came out to warm up after halftime. After the police officer came over they started heckling the officer and shaking those stupid milk jugs with gravel. At that point the officer should have called for backup and had the entire student section escorted to the door. That was rediculous and those students should have been made example of. Come on parents, it's time to do something about this. Don't allow your kids to disrespect as it's a direct reflection on you and your community. If you don't, there's going to be someone get hurt or worse in the future. And nobody wants that. Show a little respect and maturity and just flat out GROW UP!!!!!! Roll Tribe!!!!! I was told that one of the guilty one's throwing the bottle's was a parent...What a shame. And what's bad, they seem to be proud of it.I think it show's no class at all.But you can't judge all South people because a few act like idiots,There is some good people at South. I love the way the DB fans only see what they want to see. oh no. The DB players didn't come over there dancing chanting taunting like a bunch of spoiled 6 year olds. They should have got flagged up. If I could throw that far I would have flinged one or two. One of the funniest events was the officer that came and stood menacing in front of the South student section before the game even started.. Imtimidation scarey....whoooo. Well the fans all pointed over toward the DB side. He finally turned and got the biggest cheer of the night as he walked off. lol

Do they ever wonder why few people in this area pull for them to win in the playoffs. They should travel and play bigger schools. You know your in trouble at the games when the referees make a point to go see the DB fans, this happens at BBall games many times.I do not agree with unsportsman like actions, but DB is no angel

Cap1
Great game guys.Cap,I'll agree that there is a lot of work before thinking about standing with the big red machine.Depth up front is a concern. We already have one playing both ways a lot. After that one drive by South,we may have to beef up the front some more with our big man when playing really big teams like Maryville. They have a great quarterback and just as much speed, and that brings me to my pet peeve.I don't think all of our cover defensive backs are good enough to be half way jogging onto the field while our opponent is up to the line running a play.We surely have kids on the bench that want to play and have enough fire to run onto the field when their number is called.Number two pet peeve,if these kids don't think a stupid 15 yard penalty will get you beat, just ask the coaches about Mcminn county a few years ago.We can't be in 25 yard downs and just throw it up for a prayer. The holding call was bs however that our two guys got on that one play. Batman I could have sworn I saw SEVERAL players going both ways ALL GAME LONG... at least until Coach called the dogs off. That was surprising to see that a school with a roster as large as DB doesn't have the depth to platoon. This is the second year in a row that DB has almost had their entire starting backfield going both ways.
KptVol
Was wondering what it would be this year. I guess we are supposed to just stand there and be targets for the throwing. I have great friends and great fans on both sides. Obviously idiots like balls or balled or no balls......or whatever it's name is that thinks it's funny on both sides too. I'll not let stupidity of individuals on either side ruin the fun of an entire community. That was a great show last night from the crowd to the bands to the teams! Ball head ain't got the guts or the ability to mess that up by throwing things at kids

Everything you just said was pretty much a lie. I sat in the end zone right in front of the Hoodlum Section and heard and saw every disgraceful act. You were probably one of them. How could you even consider defending their actions. Your post just proves the point that they represent the South community.
