I remember him from middle school. He is a very good player. Was surprised he didnt play much last year.

I was surprised he didn't play much last year either but he had to get stronger. It's a big difference from Middle school to high school even though they won the middle school state, Humboldt will still have a lot of young talent in the next coming years. 2011-12 should be another good year for the vikes if they continue to play as a team, last year was the first time in many yeras that the Vikes didn't make the state tournament & hopefully they are determined this year watching LC win it all last year.

The Vikings open the season with a win over Jackson Central Merry 78-54 & plays Middleton tonight at Middleton. I haven't heard if the football players played alot tuesday. Hopefully, they will have a good game tonight because most likely they could see Middleton again down the road when it counts! Humboldt has added Ripley and a few other new teams to their schedule so hopefully it will pay off at the end of the season!

The Vikings came up a little short last night. Vikings made the mistakes a young team makes. Losing by 62-57 the Vikings will be fine as the season goes on! Once the Vikings get the right starting 5 in order and their basketball legs. I looked for the Vikings to be right in the mix before it is all said and done! The regular season starts Monday as the Vikings host Northside. But as far as the District 14A goes it will be another toss up year! But LC is the defending champs and have the target on their back till someone knocks the Falcons off!

Lake Co could very well go about 2 and 4 their first 6 games.Lake Co plays Liberty,Halls,Greenfield,Humboldt,

Jackson Northside and the Lions Christmas Tournament. Not sure but have heard Bolivar,Liberty and and Dyer Co is at the tournament at Martin.I know Dyer Co is usually in it and the winner advances so a good chance Lake Co could see Dyer Co.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
