If Father Ryan loses (who has had 2 weeks to prepare for this game!!!!) they should drop of D2-AA entirely, as the only D2 team they will beat is JP2.

Up until the MBA and PC game, I would have said that MBA and Ryan would be a toss up. But now I think MBA has some confidence. Ryan will play a tough 1st half but MBA wins by by 21 points. MBA will win the war in the trenches and that will be the key.

If the Pearl Cohn game proved anything, it proved that despite the 2-4 record, MBA has some serious talent. It also proved that MBA has a long way to go. Can someone explain to me why the players have wrist bands on defense? How hard is it to say Base 50 or Goalline D?

 

I have learned that these days it is all about image at MBA and seeing the coaches and players on friday night I understand why. What would Coach Owen think of the arm sleeves, black socks, and untucked jerseys?

I've seen players under Coach Owen wear sleeves under their jerseys on cold nights, or on artificial turf. The black socks and untucked jerseys just don't look right at all.

From what I have heard the big red may have suffered two detrimental losses against PC. I have heard that rb/cb Jhamall Wright suffered a concussion, and I saw that he was taken out of the game. Also lb James Kay may have suffered ligament damage in both shoulders? I don't know if that's right, but I noticed he also did not play the 4th quarter. These two injuries could prove to be detrimental, for the defense has not looked great through the first 6 games. Even if these two players are out, I'm going to say MBA 24-10. They do have talent, but have to minimize their mistakes, mostly in the red zone. What's Ryan got this year? Heard from a parent their qb can really run.

#34 is a lot tougher than his old man and was at practice today. my money is on him starting. wright is an injury waiting to happen. mba wins in a low scoring game.

Carlton Flatt at BA was another coach that would not put up with the way players today look, act, and behave.

No sweat bands, same length socks, no sleeves, no skull caps, no long hair, jerseys tucked and no taunting the other team period. Players at most schools on Fridays now wear game jerseys rather than shirt and ties. Players today are more into the image of the game thanks to NIKE and UnderArmor.

BA football dad here. After sitting through the BA/MBA game and also following MBA's box scores each week, my opinion is MBA is a very good team. There are very good players at key positions. Overall size is good. Do not know what depth is like.

 

I think it is simply a matter of the new coach getting the team chemistry moving forward. We experienced that big time against Trinity where we had key players that were young, new and inexperienced. We were able to get it going the 2nd and 3rd games. MBA will be fine when they find there rhythm.
