The Dragons come into LA with a 2 and 5 worksheet while the Cats have ran their record to 6 and 1 with a big win over White House friday night. But that don't mean much when these 2 get together.

In 06 LA's only win of the season came against York by a score of 13 to 12. York receiver was wide open and dropped the 2 pt conversion. In 07 the Dragons pounded the Cats 33 to 0. 08 York escaped with a 28 to 21 win. In 09 LA wins 12 to 6 and 2010 LA wins by a 7 to 0 score.

So can the Dragons and coach Dickie Brown pull the upset ? Let's hear your comments.

This is usually a very tough game as RC said. It's almost always close. I just don't think YAI can hang in with LA this year...especially in Livingston. Hope you are doing well RC.

Yes I'm doing ok twan thanks for asking. Hope to see you soon.

Yes the Dragons from what I can gather are a young team. Have took it on the chin several times this year. But that's what makes this game even tougher for the Cats. It's easy for a team to get complacent. Just hope the Cats can stay focused because York will come down here with a nothing to lose mentality. And Dickie will pull out all the stops. IMO Dickie can get more out of a team with the lesser talent than any coach I know. And he may not have enough this time but don't count the Dragons out.

This is a york team going thru a transition period, they are very young and have been hit hard by the injury bug... but despite that this is a team struglling to make the easy plays, having trouble tackling and coming into the season they thought they were a lot better than what they really were. This team has some talent but lacks confidence inthemselves. I look for the dragons to come to livingston tonight and play their hearts out, I don't think they will win but they will give it their best shot... if there is a game this team should get up for it is with livingston... i look forward to watching a good ball game tonight... good luck to both teams and may the best team win :)

Not. Close. Period.

Hey ILHSF - I didn't realize that LA and York were such rivals. Have they always been rivals or is this a 10 or 15 year period. I noticed from another post that most of the games were very close. Did this rival start in basketball and carry over to football or just always been a rival?

    • Eagleville hosting shows laziness on the part of the TSSAA and a complete disregard for the appearance of impartiality. Absolutely nothing against EHS. Its not their fault TSSAA is lazy.    I understand EHS staff work the games at Eagleville, and they don’t want to miss the EHS games. However this isn’t rocket science. It would take less than 1 hour to cross-train EHS and RHS volunteers at the opposite sites. If Eagleville (or any host)  makes the tournament, flip their game site and have the volunteers flip sites for the days their school plays at the opposite site. Magically the school’s fans would be present to watch the their kids play and the kids at least lose some familiarity and home field advantage.  It takes almost no effort and is a ~15 minute extra drive.
    • We feel the pain!
    • Jason Lambert should be the only choice for the Baseball coaching position.
    • From the stats I found online it looks like Gabe Eddington- .484, 44 total hits, 43 runs scored and 42 stolen bases.Meanwhile, on the mound, the Austin Peay commit had a record of 8-2, while compiling 50 innings pitched with an ERA of 1.82. Carson Parrott - 7-0 overall as a starting pitcher with a 1.41 ERA, 95 strikeouts and a save in 53 and 1/3 innings pitched. Parrott hit .392 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs with a .566 OBP and .716 SLG. Jaxon Walker - .454, 53 hits, 38 RBI’s, 9 HRs.   Not saying the other three aren’t deserving but Quillen had better BA than all three and was just as dominate pitching.  Like I said I don’t know how you leave off the 3a Baseball player of the year last year when he put up better numbers.  I know Greeneville’s Coach wasn’t happy about it saying “I don’t give a s*** what anybody else says. That kid is the best player in Tennessee, and everybody else on our team rises to his level“.  I’m sure winning another State Championship as a junior is more important to Carson than the individual award, it’s just a head scratcher to not be nominated
