Signal Mountain to appeal

No. I don't have PI's working this case. SMMHS has a problem with some of the people that are involved not being able to keep their mouth shut so I hear things.. from the horses mouth. Everything that I have posted has come from someone that has been named in the media so it's not like I'm making it up. Either through arrogance or ignorance, SMMHS has a leak that is gonna end up costing them alot more than they bargain for if it's not plugged. That is, if it's not too late.

One last time Smeagle, if you will get a Plus membership so we can send PM's I'll tell you what I know and you can investigate to find out the cold harsh truth. :popcorneater:

No thanks on the plus membership. But I will say it's funny that a guy in MC thinks that he knows more about what is going on than someone here on SM, and his base of knowledge is what is being reported. Here is a link to another report for you. Signal didn't recruit me

I already know you will read into it the things you want. But what you garner from your reading might not be reality.

I am dumb on this someone please fill me in as to what possibilities could come from this:

a.) If Signal Mountain wins the appeal altogether then what? Are they 7-2 (4-0)?

b.) If Signal Mountain wins the appeal for the Notre Dame game? Are they 2-2 (2-0)?

c.) If Signal Mountain loses the appeal altogether? Are they 1-2 (1-0)?

Finally..........

If SM does beat Sequatchie next week and either scenario "b." or "c." is the outcome then how does that affect their playoff standing?

Appeal is scheduled for tomorrow (10-20-11).

I'd bet on option "C"

I'd bet on option "C"

If it is "option C" and they beat Sequatchie next week then their overall record would end at 2-2 (2-0 in district). How would that affect them?

If it's "option B" and they get credit for beating ND and then they turn around and beat Sequatchie then their overall mark would end at 3-2 (3-0 in district). Would that be enough to jump Sequatchie County and earn an "automatic" bid into the Class 4A state playoffs?

But TSSAA investigators claim that those documents list a home address for McClendon's mother in Rossville, GA, while McClendon played for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe.

The problem: "statements were made by Coach Shane Roberson which indicated Tim mother continued to maintain her residence in Chattanooga last year", according to the TSSAA's letter of sanction dated October 7.

TSSAA would pull something out of their bag o tricks to stop that from happening, but that's an interesting scenario for sure.

The answer is yes. It would actually make SM district champs. But hey, there is a lot of grey in the TSSAA rules so who really knows.

Again don't believe everything you read in the press, they make mistakes.

I don't think there has been a 3 win team in the play-offs...might really stir a stink if a 4-6 or 5-5 wildcard gets bumped because of it.

Interesting user comment on the Channel 3 article. No it doesn't specify Signal but points out some apparent inadequate rules enforcement.

If the school system will allow a parent to register a child using a metal storage building that belongs to a friend as a "residence" and refuses to investigate it when a formal complaint is filed with the school and the central office this doesn't suprise me at all. The school and the central office were provided tax records, real time pictures, ariel photography, and the reports of licensed private investigators and did NOTHING. The school principal, the systems transfer specialist, and director of student services all had the opportunity to investigate and did not. It took six weeks to get a social worker sent to verify the ficticious address and upon verification they allowed the parent that violated the schools own policy to come in and re-register the child and granted a hardship 7 weeks into the school year. The policy is a joke and so is the systems efforts to enforce it.
