I hope we give them a good show. Of course, I do kinda like a whole half of running clock like this week; get out of there in a hurry that way.

I've felt all season that even if Cleveland hadn't found their game like they have lately, they would be clicking on all cylinders for the Bradley game. These last two games are going to take a focused, consistent performance by the Bears.

National TV; Local TV; All the radio staions.... Will there be room for the fans?

Actually this is building into a huge event. As if it needs to be hyped for a Bradley-Cleveland game locally. I just hope that the teams stay grounded.

Bears have to be considered the favorite, but Cleveland is playing well as long as they stay away from that "Spread" offense. Gonna be a good one, no doubt about it.

Not missing this one. :popcorneater:

Everybody remember to make your posters creative so you can get on TV! (I walk the sidelines; I'll probably get screen time whether I want it or not)

Hopefully the players will keep the attitude that it is a football game, nothing more, nothing less. Trying to look impressive usually has the opposite effect. Just play ball 48 minutes, and let the other stuff tend to itself.

I really couldn't care less about me being on TV especially a network I don't get. ;)

Both teams staying grounded, and remembering the important thing is the game on the field and not the hoopla is the important part.

I hope to see a great game, both teams play well and represent our community well. And playing the game well means the impressive part does take care of itself.

I don't care much about it either; I am no great shakes to look at. But I'm always around the line of scrimmage, and will be close to the chains on the road. I don't think I will have any choice about getting my ugly mug on camera. :?

Another interesting sidebar to this game could be the focus of each schools quarterbacks. What most people don't know is Bradley Central's Bryce Copeland and Cleveland's Chad Voytik have grown up together, played baseball and basketball together and played football together until each went their own way. Friends off the field but fierce rivals and competitors between the lines. Chad has had to deal with all the hype of being a top national recruit that seems almost as a distraction for him personally and has earned a scholarship to the University of Pittsburgh. However, Bryce has done nothing but help lead the Bears to wins and to the playoffs. Also,, Bryce was awarded the top quarterback award for district 5-AAA for the 2010 season and by the way he has been playing this season, may very well win the same award again. Chad and his Cleveland team of 2010 was able to defeat the Bears 33-18 at Bradley while the Bears won in overtime at Raider field in 2009. Each gunslinger has one victory over the other but Friday night will be the tie breaker of the series between perhaps the two best quarterbacks to ever play in Bradley county at the same time. Bradley and Cleveland fans have been blessed with such fine talent.

    • Honestly the A.D. may be powerless at Maryville to some degree versus other schools. I know he has his hands full with GoFan and all the stupid surprises just from the emails he sends out during the season.
    • Harriman was better than what I anticipated. They had good skill guys and a QB that’s gonna make a lot of teams look silly. They had some silly pre snap penalties but it’s just spring and I guess that’s expected.    Oneida looks the part. They are big upfront and got a stable of backs that’s gonna carry them this year. They have a few playmakers at receiver also. They have a new receiver that has only played basketball till this year and he is very athletic. The question is can we find a QB to consistently get them the ball. They played 2-3 kids there and none looked great but they didn’t look awful either. The  defense is gonna be tough again but it’s very early and a lot can change between now and the fall.     It was good just to get out and watch some ball. I don’t know if Oneida has the team to win the region this year but just what I saw tonight I think they may be in the conversation come November.
