First I want to say . . . Congrats to D-B for a game well played on their part. I am irritated and aggravated by what I saw on SH's part. I was expecting more discipline (which quit honestly I haven't seen a lot of all season). For god's sake, what does it take to play fundamental football against a strong team? I am trying to be patient, but heck far. Are we really 33 points behind D-B? Apparently so! Are we a better football program than we were a year ago? Are we a better football program from 5 years ago? If the score is the barometer to the answer to that question. Then the answer is, no. I suppose time will tell. It always does.

 

Once again, CONGRATS to D-B and I hope you go deep in the play-offs.

Well said, I think we are a better team from last year. But I don't think we were good enough to beat DB this year. We have the talent, speed and everything. Just not put together yet. Better luck next year.

Didn't Nelson play offensive line? What is he doing coaching defense? SH doesn't look very fundamentally sound on defense.

I think he played both. Obviously we need to do more tackling drills too

As of now the only way these two would meet again would be the quarter finals, correct?

 

Not going to happen.

 

Hill would have a home game against Farragut and DB home against Bearden.

 

If they both won Hill would travel to Maryville and Karns or Sev Co. would come to DB.

 

OR does Farragut and Karns jump the Hill with a win?

 

Then it would be possible, not likely, for a 2nd round matchup at the Fred.

 

Not that it would matter anyway.

To answer my own question a few pages back....... it's coaching. Carter and his (Nelson) boys are not who they said they were! They still have a lot to learn.... obviously. That was a good ol fashion @22 whoppin... I don't care who you are!! Swafford has taken the crown of the new N.E.T. Superman!!! A crown previously held by the GREAT Curt Phillips. Swafford is EASILY the Big 8 Player of the Year!! I myself am a fan. DB won't be challenged until they get to the GREAT WALL OF BLOUNT COUNTY. I for one will be there!!! Didn't think I would ever say this... but after seeing them for the third time this season............. Role on (cough, cough ) Tribe... role on.

thanks cap1, swafford is a better person than football player, its always yes sir and no mam, great student plus works hard after practice runs up and down the street with ankle weights on, just a super kid
