Ok. That characterization of Howdoitknow2, and his "interests" in this game are a bit unfair. He does have Cheatham County roots, and that is the team he supports. However, I would not call him your casual high school fan or parent with a very narrow "my team only" interest. I would classify him as more of a fan and supporter of Tennessee High School football. He knows quite a few people in high school football covering many teams in middle Tennessee, and even knows a fair amount about teams in West and East Tennessee. I've never known him to malign a team who beat his team as you're accusing him of. It's a fair question.

If the CPA coach did trade film, and this is untrue, then it would be fair to let him know what's being said and allow him, or so someone on his behalf could "set the record straight". Otherwise, if he chose not to trade film, which is the "normal behavior" prior to a game, then you have to wonder about his motivation. If this is part of his strategy, then why? Has CPA, been treated unfairly in a game film exchange before? There could be a number of ways this could be interpreted. If I were the coach, I would want to know this has been posted on a public forum, and also to have a change to respond (either directly, or someone else on my behalf). That's just my "two cents worth" on this subject.

I think the point CPA4ever is trying to raise is that Howdoitknow2 asked a question that he knew nobody on this forum could answer. So was he really trying to get an answer? I doubt it. Did he have other motives for raising a question he knew no one could answer? Maybe.

GP has improved just as much on Defense as Offense. Yes, the first four games were terrible. New starters trying to find their way. Since then they have been pretty good.

Westmoreland- 14 pts in 4th on subs

Lipscomb- shut out

White House- 22 pts, good 4A team thats still playing

Sycamore- 7 pts in 4th on subs

McGavock- 6 pts on starters, 6 in late 3rd on subs when score was 41-6

Greenbrier- 6 pts on starters, 20 in 4th against subs, one td was a pick 6 by GP's back up QB.

Grundy- scored 6, wasn't there so not sure what quarter they scored.

Granted first several games were against better competition, but that shows marked improvement.

On a side note, if we kick to Wharton, we are dumb:)

Thanks for the explanation. I was assuming some of those points were against the subs. Now if we could just get them to start the subs. Still don't see GP scoring more than 28 at the most. CPA will probably have to have 28+ to win. I think they can do it.

I appreciate your "2 cents" and respect that, but this is the true point. Anything can be said on the internet and any accusations or implications can be made with no basis for fact and for various reasons - some legit and some not. Someone being accused (or implied accusations) on the internet from an anonymous poster with an anonymous source does not have the burden of having to answer or defend themselves. Also, those fans reading these things would be idiots to ask those anonymously accused because it would give legitimacy to the accusation. If you have facts, share them. Otherwise, keep it to yourself.

I apologize for asking a simple question that has created so much chaos. Implying that I am asking the question because my team "lost to CPA" is just incorrect.

Oh and saying that "nobody on here would know the answer" is just incorrect as well. Believe it or not there are several coaches across the state who post on CoachT.com so don't think that all of the posters only fall under the category of "fans".

I didn't intend on such a simple question to take away from such an awesome matchup. My apologies :thumb:

Classy to apologize, and you do have a right to post anything you want on CoachT. I have always enjoyed your posts. It just hits a nerve with me when people imply improprieties without proof based on hearsay.

I guarantee you if I posted that I had heard something "from a source" about CC or Fairview or anyone else on a thread about them that questioned their fairness or honesty, you and Slim would have reacted badly as well. And hopefully a coach posting on CoachT would not comment on another coach.

Let's move on and talk about the game.

Touché CPA4ever. Very well posted and agreed. Moving on to the game. That being said hope CPA pulls this one out. Regardless of who wins. It's a great matchup between two teams who have met numerous times in the playoffs.so should be an instant classic and hard fought game. Wish I could make it.

I am nervous about this one, not because I think GP is better, but we have been a little shaky offensively lately - nagging injuries, penalties, etc.. I think our defense will hold GP to below 28, but we need to make some big special team or offensive plays to outscore them. The series has been pretty even, but they have owned the playoffs against us.

    • One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.
    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
