Wow, so much has been said here. This is how I see it. Greenevilles's run defense is unbelievably good. They shut you down in the middle and are just as good on the outside. While they may give up an occasional play here or there, I don't see any team sustaining a running attack on them. The pass defense may be the biggest question here, but it seems to have improved as well. In addition, the penetration of the defensive line is so consitent that even a good quarterback is not going to look all that great against Greeneville. When you constantly have pressure in your face, it will rattle the best of quarterbacks and cause them to make poor decisions at least some of the time. Giles will have to hope to be successful in getting the ball off quickly on shorter throws and peppering in a run here and there. I don't think they will be able to throw the ball down the field too much as he is not going to have the time with the way Greeneville penetrates. In addition, Greenevilles defense has created numerous turnovers for scores and/or put the offense in outstanding field position. Even if Greeneville can't punch it in on occasion, Mr. Ogle is there to make sure that they don't leave empty handed.

While Greeneville's offense may not be their claim to fame this year due to the stellar play of the defense, it is not too shabby and has improved as well and has been putting up outstanding numbers as of late.

Ballard will have them focused and ready. They just need to make sure and take care of the football. I would expect Greeneville to win by a minumum of three or possibly more touchdowns depending on whether or not the defense can get some cheap scores off of turnovers. With that said, I expect Giles will come up and give it %110 and will be motivated to play to the best of their ability. Safe travels and happy turkey day to all.

Just going on the pics and video I've seen. But is your(Greenevilles)field astro turf or grassy turf?Hard for me to tell from a camera. And also is that your campus around the stadium and if so dang it looks like a college.

That is on our Campus. Have you seen the Campus? Go here for our football page: Greenedevilfootball.com and yes that is astro turf :thumb:

Blah, blah, blah...Greeneville somethings will never change. You're all mighty D couldn't stop us 2 years ago and they won't this year.Rollins and Hall were there then and mr Wallace run all over them and threw around them. WELL OUR TEAM IS STRONG!!!!! No they're not they just play a bunch of patsies! Get over yourself. Your O-Line can't block, your QB can't throw. And #21 is nowhere around a 4.4 40. Your linebackers are the weakest part of your team. The team as a whole don't like to hit!!

Stay out of the Kool Aid!! YOU ARE IN A DREAM! You are in for a rude awakening! If you are coming to the game be sure to have a designated driver!!

    • Eagleville hosting shows laziness on the part of the TSSAA and a complete disregard for the appearance of impartiality. Absolutely nothing against EHS. Its not their fault TSSAA is lazy.    I understand EHS staff work the games at Eagleville, and they don’t want to miss the EHS games. However this isn’t rocket science. It would take less than 1 hour to cross-train EHS and RHS volunteers at the opposite sites. If Eagleville (or any host)  makes the tournament, flip their game site and have the volunteers flip sites for the days their school plays at the opposite site. Magically the school’s fans would be present to watch the their kids play and the kids at least lose some familiarity and home field advantage.  It takes almost no effort and is a ~15 minute extra drive.
    • We feel the pain!
    • Jason Lambert should be the only choice for the Baseball coaching position.
    • From the stats I found online it looks like Gabe Eddington- .484, 44 total hits, 43 runs scored and 42 stolen bases.Meanwhile, on the mound, the Austin Peay commit had a record of 8-2, while compiling 50 innings pitched with an ERA of 1.82. Carson Parrott - 7-0 overall as a starting pitcher with a 1.41 ERA, 95 strikeouts and a save in 53 and 1/3 innings pitched. Parrott hit .392 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs with a .566 OBP and .716 SLG. Jaxon Walker - .454, 53 hits, 38 RBI’s, 9 HRs.   Not saying the other three aren’t deserving but Quillen had better BA than all three and was just as dominate pitching.  Like I said I don’t know how you leave off the 3a Baseball player of the year last year when he put up better numbers.  I know Greeneville’s Coach wasn’t happy about it saying “I don’t give a s*** what anybody else says. That kid is the best player in Tennessee, and everybody else on our team rises to his level“.  I’m sure winning another State Championship as a junior is more important to Carson than the individual award, it’s just a head scratcher to not be nominated
