West 31 Powell 28...West remembers last year in Columbia when they came up short of the state title...they will win tomorrow night and take on Henry County for the Championship next Friday.

Go West!

Powell really hasnt faced a good team all year , West will be the toughest challenge yet for them. I think itl be an exciting game with west on top at the end.

It's going to be really hostile. West is going to bring some fire and attitude into that stadium that the Powell fans will not like! Seriously, those Powell fans need to take a chill pill. :popcorneater:

The tanning beds are buzzing all over Powell today to get the mommies and cheerleaders ready for the big game. The Powell players will be so distracted they won't play well.

What's buzzing over at West, then?

At West it's business as usual, just head down the bike trail a few yards off campus, never get in trouble if you are a Sequoyah kid. For Powell folks you have to drive to Anderson County for the good stuff. West wins by 7 but check your valuables before the game.

Good game Powell; heck of a defense. Hope Allan Shattuck is ok. How disappointing to get shutout two years in a row in the Semi-finals. <_<

Let me be the first to congratulate Powell on here. Everybody said you didn't play nobody and therefore wouldn't win. Good luck bringing the gold ball back to 3AAA where nobody is.

West just scored, but little too late unfortunately. West held Mobley pretty good all night until they were pretty much just going through the motions and he ripped that 50 yarder.

That's what he does, slack off for one play and there he goes. That's what he did to Oak Ridge, we pretty much held him all night except 3 plays he took for

touchdowns!

    • I have no idea who your team is, but Memphis and other Shelby Co. schools have hardly made a dent, if you’re talking Game 15 appearances. Outside of a couple by Whitehaven, I can’t recall the last team in a final.
    • Robbed you guy at a chance of 3 state championships. You never kne, sond best team in the west my have beat you also, but you sure deserved the chance to play um.
    • Eagleville also loses Brown the catcher, Lamb CF, Mclemore RF (Heck of an athlete) and Drew the 1st baseman. They will be young.
    • Good thing we aren’t in Florida then huh? It would benefit a ton of the smaller schools  that don’t have the pools of kids to choose from! They should start by policing Shelby County like they do the rest of the state! Something has to change though and TSSAA knows that!
    • Correct, you can whimsically be fired in coaching. A coach that has tenure can stay on as a teacher if released from coaching. If you don’t have tenure as a teacher, you can fired without cause. Your last year as a teacher before tenure is earned you can be fired, but must be given cause. A tenured teacher can be fired, but it is a long hard process requiring the 3 D’s…. documentation, documentation and documentation. I have released 3 tenured teachers, 2 with PHD’s. However, teacher contracts had and still have clauses that state you can be fired for a variety reasons re: being arrested, public drunkenness, inappropriate relationships ect.
