We see how good Cookeville is when thet get playing those triple a teams they do not need to be playing single a teams if they want to get better you only get better by playing the better teams for Cookeville to every be good they need to play a triple team every game doing the season

Well, considering the only AAA teams around are the ones already in their district... that would mean traveling an hour and a half or more for every game. I think you are crazy. For your information, I respect J County for not being scared like every other little school around to play Cookeville every year. Props to em.

Also, if you want to look at the girls side of things, you can't play any better competition that upper cumberland basketball. Think about your post next time

For your information they all kind of triple A within a hour drive of Cookeville use your head or buy a map it will make your team better down the road maybe get them to the state one of these day.I just think this will help the Cookeville program in the long run.I would love to see coach Bray and his team do good.I live in Cookeville at one time

Jackson County coach use to play for Coach Bray and they decide to play each other home and home every year. Look at Cookeville schedule, they don't load up on the smaller schools, but many of the AAA schools won't make the drive up here after Cookeville drives there. We play out of distrcit games this year at Bradley Central, Lebanon, Ootlewah and Shelbyville. Shelbyville is the only one making a trip to Cookeville.

A game like this helps Jackson County more than it helps Cookeville. JC is playing up in classification and year in and year out Cookeville is a better team. However, if this helps one team for Cookeville it is the girls not the boys. Jackson County girls are always a goo team so it doesn't matter who plays JC it will help them get better, but the boys are a different story, though good sometimes, not on the same level as the girls.

Jackson County beat Warren County last night in Cannon County. They lost a good lead and nearly lost their composure a couple of times with a pair of technicals on players, but held on for the win. They are single A (about 500) but they're the largest in the class year and and year out-still much smaller than teams like Warren and Cookeville but nothing like one of these rural teams with 150 in 9-12.

Might want to check your Cookeville schedule 'Sparkman'. On January 14, 2012, Bradley Central will be traveling to Cookeville. They played there twice last year, in the regular season and in the region tourney.
