Congratulations Wayne County. You guys played a great game and took it to us. The fans I talked to from Wayne County were very classy people. Good luck next season. Any big plans to welcome the team in?

 

Thanks Pirates for the great season. It was good to see the escort the team got coming back into town and it was good to see some people out cheering as they came into town. If your going to support them when they win then you need to support them when they lose to.

Well I've passed about 20 emergency vehicles since getting into Wayne County. Going to be a big gathering on the square.

Well I've passed about 20 emergency vehicles since getting into Wayne County. Going to be a big gathering on the square.

That's good. You guys deserve it. We had a few police cars and a couple of fire trucks bring the team in tonight with lights flashing and sirens blaring. A few people came out to cheer as the team came in. When we win it the bus stops as you first come into town and the team gets out and walks the 7 or 8 blocks to the field house as the town lines the street for the March of Champions. Unfortunately you guys get that opportunity tonight but again, those players deserve it. Take it all in tonight because it will be something special.

well said wc. is the state champ cong. from a big pirates fan sure wood like to have walk them 7or8 blocks but they will be another time hope to play you guys again was a good game well football is over some i will go back to doing cowboy shooting til football start next yr. check out cowboy shooting on youtube you mike like

In '05 we were making plans at halftime to go to Murfreesboro...too soon.

The Tennessean wrote about our tailgating "abilities" in '09 and I believe we matched that effort last year. Enjoyed every bit of it, but only silver so far.

I can only imagine what we may do and our feeling as a community if JB finally gets a gold ball.

 

The reason I've even mentioned JB and what we have experienced in this thread is because from one small community from another , I hope ya'll live tonight as a night of nights, this weekend of weekends, as a community and family. Live it up, be safe, have fun, rock out! Congrats!

      Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.

      Couldn’t agree more.. Tate is a special kinda player , but fortunately for us we get a best of 3 series. I think our pitching is better than last year when we made the trip to west tn. Should be a fun 2 or 3 games.
