duckman38201
Well since the Bethel field is sort of in my backyard (just past the hot tub) I mignt wander over if this is a fact and give you a Reb welcome Swo!!! I may even ask 'ol Butchie to come by and give me a lift to the parking lot!! It's asking a lot for an 'ol fart porno star to walk the 300 yards. I'd likely have to stop at Chick- fil- A and talk to the purdy girl behind the counter and miss the game!! ysoangry, I guess the Rebel nation have let it go and don't expect that to happen again. There will always be a few on either side that will carry a grudge. In fact, the Dresden players did the right thing in the end last season anyway. So far as I know there is no one here signing over their next born over for a win over Dresden this season. It's been a good rivalry on the field and on here as far as I'm concerned. So, ya;ll come on over and take your butt handing like a man in 2012. We couild even arrange for a "pig parlor" in the parking lot behind the visitors stands if ya'll want. LOL
duckman38201
I'm not the one who started the unsportsman like behavior topic. You started it with the why didnt you shake hands BS. Like I said before it was WRONG that the coach didnt let the boys shake hands after the game. I dont care how heated the game was after its over, its over and these boys need to take losing as part of the game and motivation toward the next game. Kids are kids and I'll be the first one on the field embarrassing my son and myself if I see him acting like a punk, and he knows this. On the other hand you want the kids fired up to the point that the coach needs to calm them down a little. Guess we need a happy medium. Rest assured our boys will be shaking hands after the game. Easy, no one faulted the players OR the coaching staff (or fans or whoever) on this. Only one person caused thiis and we all know about that on both sides. Did it not concern anyone on the sidelines/in the stands that he wore a UTM cap to the state championship game???? As far as I know all the Rebel Nation commends the Lions players for doing the right thing later on after the game in spite of what they were told by that one. You don't know me BUT I promise you I speak for the majority of Rebel Nation and Butchie and others will tell you I speak the facts. Other than the reality of a rivalry we harbor no issue with Dresden now. Once it was Huntingdon and winner take all. To some extent it still is but in reality that issue is between us now and I'm glad for the focus change personally. But I DO hate losing to the Mustangs!!!! Agreed, let's move on. RebelYeller1
Dont you just hate that kinda mess among adults. Dude it drives me crazy. I cant handle that kind of crap and it was last season. LET IT GO My humble apologies...you are correct. It just gets me when I hear someone bashing our boys. They work hard and play clean. Always have----we all watched those games last year and know. I hope this years' game is more "friendly". Good post Big Swo--I will refrain from those sentiments.

ysoangry
No hard feelings from the Dresden faithful either. I'll be your biggest fan anytime you play except for week three. I thought it was pretty tacky for the coach to wear a UTM hat in Cookeville but he was wearing it to support his son, who was enrolled there at that time. His chioice not mine but I wont fault anyone for supporting their kids. wish more people would and we wouldn't need so many gob-ment checks passed out. Dont worry i know where you and Butchie hang out on game nights so I'll find you before and after the game week 3. If we weren't playing Friday I'd like to watch Onion City and the Rebs go at it. #7 in the state against the already crowned champs could get interesting.
