Rankings are posted for week THREE, let the debates begin.

Click here for Week 3 Rankings for Division 1 & 2 (Division II will be posted later today 12/20/11).

*** Rankings are based largely on information from last year’s performance, current wins/losses, and head to head competition with other ranked members. As the season progresses and wrestlers move weights your ranking may move up, down, or off the rankings all together based on the competition in that particular weight class.***

Y'all should already know I have a few things to say that bosanko kid from NW at 170 how is he going to be ranked if he has already lost to a non tanked wrestler to the valentine kid from Dickson and everybody gets there fame for what they accomplished in tournaments but not the valentine kid who won mtgc at 160.. mmm that's awkward to me..

I am sorry that Hamm and myself have not met your standards cougars. As you mentioned Bosanko has lost to Valentine 2-1, which was at 170 lbs. Valentine has chosen to wrestle at 160 lbs obviously, which was from what I saw the weakest weight class at MTGC. Bosanko wrestled in a very tough weight class at MTGC and beat a previously ranked wrestler at 170 lbs. Therefore I can not rank a kid at one weight for barely beating a kid at another weight. I would love to help you with questions you may have with our decisions.

So if he were to wrestle 170 you would rank him?

You do realize that rankings are arbitrary right? They are nice estimations, but only that. I really respect all the hard work put into making the rankings by Coach Knepper, Hamm, Bosken, Bray, and Ghouse, but even they know that the rankings really do not matter. If all these kids you think deserve to be ranked, are really good enough to be ranked, then they will medal at state. Then you can come on here and start back up with your complaints.
