The defensive line looked quite dominant and the offensive line performed very nicely. While PC didn't rise to the challenge, the hard work the GC team has put in shone thru.

Great job guy's. The Coaches, players, and additional staff have really worked hard through the summer. Stay focused, and this will be a season to remember. 2 more scrimmages, and it's time to unveil the 2012 BOBCAT's!!! Waiting for August 17th, is like waiting for Christmas morning.

Another good night for GC, another shutout for the starting D. GC tries to start 22 players so we are still firming up some spots. We still need to clean up some aspects and strengthen our depth across the board.

Hoping the young man that was injured for FC is doing well and finds rapid recovery.

Another great night of Football for Giles. Offense moved the ball well, and our Defense shut'em down. And caused a couple of big fumbles. Not too mention a sweet pick by our right side CB. Al threw the ball well, and rushed for a couple TD's. Baker showed why he's a pre season all-state W.R. Great hands and quick feet.

Hope the FC kid is well, and bounces right back. Man, he took a lick. I think the guy's in Lincoln County heard it.

dont worry signal will wipe out greenville and destroy you/heard signal had over 20 transfers

hungry.gif Uhm, we sure are hungry for a little challenge. But, from what I saw on Signal last Friday, they have a lot of work in order to handle what the Bobcats will bring to the field. If Signal was that good, they would've walked all over Lavergne, Lincoln and PJ 2, but they didn't. So, your statement holds no water. Sounds good, though. However, the mouth can be fit to say anything. cool.png

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
