QBClubPrez
I just came across this article in today's Tennessean. I knew this was coming per conversations I had back during the Fall. I trust this will make for an intersting discussion. Below is the link. http://www.tennessean.com/article/20120213/SPORTS0602/302130019/Vanderbilt-wants-high-school-football-back?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|Sports
RedSwarm10
I say give it to them. I think the championship games should be played in middle Tennessee. With that said, Cookeville was an excellent host last year, and I certainly wouldn't lose any sleep over it if they kept it there. I just wish it was a little more convenient for us west Tennessee teams.
nolesfan
I agree. There's nothing better than a State Championship in Nashville. Cookeville is better than Murfreesboro, but Nashville is the best! Hope TSSAA can work this out.
HTV
Honestly, I believe it would be the best venue for players, coaches, fans, media, and all involved if the financials work out to bring it back to Nashville. All of the factors that should considered just make too much sense if it is a viable option.
Lost Old Dad
While they have the FIELD covered, they need to work on the little things like PARKING, and affordable family resteraunts nearby besides the one 'Wendy's'.

Bring a picnic basket and walk over from the park. Don't get picked up while you are there.

How many "affordable family restaurants" were "nearby" (walking distance) to the stadium in Cookeville? How about MTSU? When has it been the "host" duty to ensure restaurants be within sight of the venue? The more I read your posts...the more out of touch you become! It was at Vandy when Oak Ridge thumped Gallatin 30-0 back in 91...Was a good time.
Lost Old Dad
How many "affordable family restaurants" were "nearby" (walking distance) to the stadium in Cookeville? How about MTSU? When has it been the "host" duty to ensure restaurants be within sight of the venue? The more I read your posts...the more out of touch you become! No idea as to Cookeville as I did not go there. As to what 'near' MTSU there is a Mexican Resteraunt, Far East on main street, and two at the corner of Main Street and the one going by the stadium. Now lets look at affordable Motels. Compare them around Vandy vs say the ones in the Boro. Things like that do matter to teams and fans staying the night before the games. As to my being 'out of touch', I look at it as NOT agreeing with you. I can live with that. I will give Vandy the fact they have PF Changs nearby, but not everybody would call it an 'affordable family' resteraunt! As to the 'Park' I know about it to as I have worked 'vice' in Nashville! Seems those folks don't like rather large hetero, 45 carrying males with bad attitudes. Edited February 14, 2012 by Lost Old Dad

Hoganknows
Heck yes...it's win/win for Vandy and TSSAA
Gerry Bertier
I believe Vandy has always been the # 1 choice for the TSSAA, but do to some circumstances they moved to the Boro. I was in favor or moving it from the Boro to Cookeville. However, Vandy is my # 1 choie If people are coming in staying in Nashville, I doubt proximity to the stadium is what they will be looking for in hotels and restaurants. I am sure many out of towners will head down to Broadway and 2nd Ave. once there games are over. Parking is not nearly as bad as it once was. Please TSSAA move it back to Vandy after this upcoming year. You will get better attendance, happier fans, and an overall better experience.
