I will go on record having been part of similar productions in the past on the college level...

This will be the WORST high school football experience for the fans in attendance at the game.

There will be a lot of places that fans have had access to in the past (and will after this game) that they will not be allowed to go. ESPiN brings their own security and they will be pretty firm (field access will be VERY limited.)

Long TV timeouts (unlike Packer TV) TV timeouts are based on the time allotted for the game. If it is a game that is taking a short amount of time (like ALCOA running the ball 70 times a game) there will be more "filler" to kill tiime in the three hour allotment for the game.

It will be LONG and HOT and will take the total alloted time to play the contest. A lot of the people that don't know this will be yelling at the guy in the red hat a bunch.

I do agree, however that it is good to get the recognition for both programs. Maybe Greeneville will get on one day after they have won about 10 more titles... [:) BVDevil]

Really? Tell me where in the BIBLE does it say that you have to go to church at 12pm on Sunday? Do you know 100% that the Sabath is on Sunday? Are you a disgruntled fan , parent or just a hater? Are you going to put a hex on me? lol

I personally think it is a shame that the churches have to move God around football. I hear about a lot of integrity from both coaches and they missed an excellent opportunity to make a stand as Christians. Play the game but leave the church services as they are. Don't approach a church and ask them to adjust for football!

I have to say that I am not 100 percent happy about the new stuff going on at Maryville. I think it is neat and exciting, but at the same time I think that it makes high school football lose some of that essence that makes it so great and magical. I think it makes it lose that small town feel. You know what I am talking about... where you and your couple thousand closest friends feel like every game is really important but you know that outside of this stadium and this city a lot of people might not care. Yet you still feel like you've tapped into something special. Something pure. I just feel like the turf and the tv take away from that a bit. Maybe it is just the change that scares me, maybe I will get used to it. I don't know, but right now I'm not extremely comfortable with the changes even if they are 'cool'.

the churches do not have to move anything plus I think GOD is bigger than all this.

Not many people have access to the field before or during the game anyway but they will when the clock reaches zero or their security will need security.

I really do not care much about ESPN and could care less about this game being on TV. What they want does not concern me in the least and "we" pay the taxes that fund all this so not to worried about them.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
