I just picked up my tickets. The game is Sunday August 26 at high noon!

Sorry to hear that. I wish all the amateur sports people would leave Sunday's alone. Oh well, each to his own. I'm happy for Maryville & Alcoa to get such nice recognition and exposure. It certainly has been earned. I'm sure ESPN dictated the time, not blaming the schools at all. Just hate I will miss it in person, but my DVR will save the day.

I know ONE Saturday Maryville wants to play on like it has in the past. Its the one the first weekend of December.

 

'HOPEFULLY' R'dale can FINALLY help the ones who don't like Saturday games. :roflolk:

 

Actually, the 6A championship game will be on Friday this year. The TSSAA now alternates playing 1A/3A/5A and 2A/4A/6A on Friday and Saturday in the new format. the 2/4/6 games were on Saturday in 2011, so they will be on Friday in 2012.

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
