Yeah I know the physical makeup of Tennessee. I teach geography. So, you've asked what middle Tennesse meant. I gave you the districts, and you've replied with a geography lesson. What are you asking?

Middle Tennessee defined by TSSAA is not the same as Wikipedia. But I am sure the organizers may listen to your wish to include your school.

Not that I have a dog in the hunt either, but district 6AAA includes Cumberland County High School. Their cross- town school, Stone Memorial, however, is not in one of the districts listed.

How does that work?

Chattanooga area has a postseason all-star game vs players from North Georgia, part of a series in several sports-football, basketball, volleyball, softball, soccer too I believe.

Stone goes east in their district but if someone is a possibility for this game, they would probably be considered if their name and credentials are submitted.

Middle Tennessee has distinct boundaries and is legally defined: Definition of Middle Tennessee per wikipedia.

Just another example of why people don't try to help these kids ! Every time someone tries to help , there are parents griping about it before it ever gets started. Give these people a break ! Let them do their thing, their way, and if you don't like it.... step up and have your own. Just a thought.

You have to draw a line somewhere so the organizers just looked at the TSSAA classification (District/Region)lists. The question is why is a two schools in the same county not in the same district? I'll bet the selection committee would give a serious look to a Stone kid, especially if the numbers of players come into question.

Here is a question to you: Who is the kid or kids at Stone who are seniors who you think should be considered? I gave you the contact for the nominations. Send him an email with a nomination and contact information.

Like I said, I honestly don't have a dog in this hunt. I was just curious. Stone is AA and CCHS is AAA. That's first and foremost why they're not in the same district. CCHS plays an Upper Cumberland district schedule while Stone went East and plays with Knoxville area teams. ( CAK, Alcoa, Loudon, Kingston, etc...)

how about a couple 1A players from FC? I dont know the exact stats but i know they are good.

Drew Erie-Catcher

Kyle Wood-SS/Pitcher

Connor Gaines-1B/Relief Pitcher

Great, let FC be the first to start the bidding process. Nowhere on here was any mention of players other than being nominated by their coaches through the event director. Way to go, just a little self-serving as usual. What about the rest of the lineup?

Come on Haderade, don't hate, appreciate. The "t" is for discussions like these, right?

After all, The event coordinator knows these 3 FC kids. He's watched them for 4 years across the diamond from his TC squad. But you might want to throw out your SC boys names. With their 1 decent year being this one not too many may know of them.

You guys really do miss out on the point, don't you. COACHES send in their nominations. Didn't see anything on the original post about player campaigns, but leave it to you guys at FC to bring it down. With such a great program, tradition, and players, maybe after nominations and selections, another thread may begin on topic. And I don't have a dog in the hunt ("your SC boys"). I'll leave that to those that nominate and can follow instructions. If their coaches feel they deserve it, they'll get it. And really, you think those 3 are all that warrant consideration??

The rest of the FCS line up are Juniors or sophomores. The game is a "senior" classic. The rest of the FC team will fill the roster for next years game. Per the thread the coaches nomminate SENIORS to participate in case you missed that part.

The main part is you guys got the names out there... well done. SC has 10 seniors and if the coaches feel they earned it, they'll be nominated. This thread began with nothing about player campaigns, which thankfully others seemed to have understood. What "hader" may have missed, the rest of us didn't.

No names were mentioned by myself in this thread. Simply stating the fact that the 3 players from FC listed were in fact seniors. also I hope that no coach wouldn't be on this sight to see who the public thought needed to be nominated. It should be by merit, stats, and ability....not popular opinion.....or the negative opinion of those that hate FCS. Truly the kids at FC are in a no win situation. If they do great then it is because the "baseball community" says they recruit...it they do poorly then the "baseball community" says "see they can't hack it with the big dogs".... The FCS players are a good group of boys that work hard and play hard...just like ALL the other teams around....we just get held to a different standard...by those who love to hate. Good luck to ALL the 2012 seniors no matter what school they attend.

BY THE WAY... My tax dollars pay for your kid to attend public school and have the facility that your kid plays ball in. I CHOSE to sacrifice my disposable income on my kid and not myself to give him a great education and have different opportunities at FCS.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
