QBClubPrez
Still no love for the Bucs by the Tennessean. Still unranked, this week behind CPA and an 0-1 Northeast team. This should be a walk over for Henry Co. Sorry for being late to the discussion Tandem....I sent a tweet to the Tennessean's Maurice Patton explaining my position on this week's poll....I told him I think "at this time" I think Henry County is a little high in the poll and that Beech should be ranked above the bottom 4 teams on this week's list. QBClubPrez
3500 - 4000 attendance. Beech wins due to youth and inexperience. unless we are playing the Titans Friday, I seriously doubt this prediction on Friday's attendance.... QBClubPrez
Counce heads an excellent staff but so does Crabtree at Beech. If you compare state championship teams (HC last year and Beech in 2009) you would have to say that HC had a much more talented team. How many Beech players got D1 or other offers, not many (Neal is at UT Martin and Sites is at Maryville I believe). I cannot name any others while HC had how many from last years team (Ray, Allen, Counce, Jelks, and i am sure I am leaving out some others). When you make the statement that HC is well coached I would say you are correct but no better than Beech. I have been to Paris 2 times in the last 2 years with Hville, you guys whipped us pretty good last year but not the year before. I would say in both years HC had more talent. I believe Hville is a well coached team (we don't always have the athletes of an HC but our staff gets the most out of what we have). Anyway, good luck Friday I hope it is a great game. mondo44...don't let the posters on here get under your skin. The facts are this...the Counce family is very close and have a high level of respect for Anthony Crabtree and the work he has done at Beech. How do you think this 2-game event got on the schedule? They have been friends for years yet of course, both will do everything in each's power to beat the other on Friday night. Furthermore, each respects the other's abilities, tendencies, and accomplishments at their respective schools. I doubt this will ever change. FactsOnly
unless we are playing the Titans Friday, I seriously doubt this prediction on Friday's attendance.... Supposedly, the Titans' runningback plays for Beech.
Professor Chaos
Supposedly, the Titans' runningback plays for Beech. Considering the Patriots poor tackling and missed assignments made Liberty's backs look like all-pro's, it's entirely possible if those misstakes occur again. SOUTHERNFRIED
Supposedly, the Titans' runningback plays for Beech. According to his stats, he is better than the Titans running back last year : http://247sports.com/Article/Introducing-Jalen-Hurd-62267 and this was when he was a Sophomore. We'd take him, lol. I know this statement represents the predominant opinion, but I think Liberty will prove through the year that their successes against our defense last week was no fluke. SEC1rules
unless we are playing the Titans Friday, I seriously doubt this prediction on Friday's attendance.... How many do you estimate?
QBClubPrez
Well...if it gives you any indication....we had roughly 2,940 paid for the Hendersonville/Henry County game last year....so...looks can be deceiving at Patriot Stadium. Given it was a playoff game, each spectator had to pay....therefore, we "might" have had 3,000 in the stadium that night...(although it looks like 5,000)! goodknight
I will admit the first couple of drives by portland had beech kids heads on a swivle. But once the lads calmed down and played football the defence looked real good. I look for the defence to grow up some more this week. I predict Beech wins 28-13. I am Beech grad and they really dont stand a chance..close till the second half!
Red Warrior
we will win big and be untested until deep in the playoffs. We are good and will get better while our opponents are generally poor. Beech is our top opponent and they are fair at best.
