bigpurpledawg81
Who wants it more? Lavergne has beaten Smyrna once in 27 games. Can SHS win this one?
nununu
Who cares, all of Rutherford co. will be at Siegel
AmericanBullDog
Normally I would be on here defending and praising Smyrna as i have done for the past few years. However, it is with a heavy heart that I have to admit that I am ashamed at how some of the smyrna coaches are handling their player personel problems. AllRegion
Call me crazy, but I am going with Smyrna to get the "upset." Never underestimate Stanton Stevens
milo118
This is an unfamiliar feeling. Usualy I am pretty sure we are going to beat LaVergne. But they have shown at times that they have the ability and talent to win. My Bulldogs played well against Olive Branch. The score was not a true tale of how well they played. Nearly 250 yards rushing for the game. We had some players step up and play with heart that game. I saw mass improvement from many different positions. Our defense needs to step it up a couple of notches and play with more intensity. Play with a chip on your shoulder. Overall if we play like we did against Olive Branch then we come away with the win. But just because we have beaten LHS all but one time doesn't mean it is in the bag. They are more than capable of winning this game. They smell the blood in the water and are excited about the possibility of beating us on our home field. Expect them to come out swinging and to not let up. I am excited about this game. I can't wait until Friday. Go Dawgs!!!

StarRaider
I watched the stream of the OBHS game last week and, like milo wrote, I was impressed with the fight of the bullpups. Would not be surprised if they pull an upset Friday night.
asiatic2412
I'm sorry, but unless you are a diehard fan, this game is not that interesting. I will go with Lavergne because of overall records. Best game of the night is about 10 miles down the road, and 2nd best is probably 10 miles up the road at Antioch. nrgrizzlies
LHS takes it for their last win of the year. Smyrna should beat Ravenwood to avoid the winless season.
milo118
Game day!!!!! Finally!!!!! A good week of practice for the Bulldogs. Very spirited. Like they have a chip on thier shoulder. Got to keep doing the small things. Play assignment football and within the game plan. Can't let this running back duo (Cowan and James) get to the outside like Olive Branch or it will be a long night. Also we need to contain the receivers (#7 and #81 I believe) after the catch. They are lightning quick and have good moves to break a long one. Lavergne's QB (Fore) is a solid qb but is susceptible to throwing a few interceptions. Just remember past records don't mean anything in this one. This is a rivaly game. Always has been. Teams seem to take it up a few notches against rivals. I'm going to give the edge to my Bulldogs in this one. Are you surprised? 21-14. No injuries for either team. Go Dawgs!!!
Goatsthroat
Boy has the tides turn in this match up. Lavergne has beat a good team in Oakland and Symrna hasn't really beat any one worth mentioning. LA over the Dawgs for the 1st time in forever 17-
