However RBS has to stop #6, #14, #20 and #34.

.. I hope JC's defense is ready to battle this week, and are still pumped after they're shut out they forced last friday night against Clay Co.

He may not be the best running back, but he was sorely missed Friday night, especially on defense. Monterey exploited his absence at linebacker and Jackson Co. could do the same. Maybe RBS coaches will move some players around.I hope to be at the game Friday if schedule permits. Good luck Bulldogs.

If it was the one that was hurt at Gville, I wouldn't call him the best RB on the team but he was a good one. RBS actually had 4 or 5 people they can give the ball too and be farily effective. I would say where 2 teams combined for 110 points would be a fun game to watch as far as offense goes, but ugly...ugly defense!

I believe it comes down to the RBS defense. JC isn't as good at the run as MHS, but they have potential to burn you on the pass. Monterey stopped JC's passing game in the second half and ran the ball. RBS needs long running drives and beware of the pass.

I don't think anyone believes it won't be a close game! Outside the game against Gordonsville RBS has scored 19 or more points every week, and RBS only scoring 7 against Gordonsville didn't surprise me because their Gordonsville. However, Jackson County is not Gordonsville and RBS their will score points! Also RBS is going to have to play some defense... we've been pretty good offensively but have been playing poorly on defense and giving up way too many points: 34 against Watertown, 28 against Clay, and 68 against Monterey. In those games RBS has scored 20, 19, and 42 so at some point they're gonna have to step up the D.

I don't think it was too serious, I was told he was being responsive but had some pain in his neck so they took him as a precaution. All of that is just what I was told but I'm not sure on anything else or his status as of now...

First time I have had the chance to see JC play this year, second time I have seen RBS this year. RBS dominated this game for the first 3 quarters, as Jackson County had no answer for RBS's running attack. RBS led 20-9 and was in total control of the game.Jackson County drove down around the start of the 4th quarter and scored a TD and pulled within 20-17, RBS looked as if they were driving back down to take control of the game late when JC got the big stop on RBS driving well down the feild. JC was stopped around mid-feild on the next drive and scored a game changing TD on a fake punt to take the lead they would not give up. JC got the ball back and iced the game away on the back of running back Blake Bowman, who was unstoppable late in the game. On the kickoff following the last JC touchdown, RBS player #16 Ty Tuck was hit helmet to helmet (flag was thrown, but don't think the JC player was trying to hurt him) and he was taken from the field by ambulance with just a couple minutes left. RBS seemed to not have their hearts in the game anymore, as they seemed to want to leave too worried about their fallen teammate, which was no surprise. Heard today that he is going to be ok, which is good, because it did not look good last night, glad to hear he is ok.

 

RBS is no longer a celler dweller team, I was very impressed with their effort last night, they gave Jackson County all they could handle.

Three cheers to the three Jackson Co players who expedited the gurney and backboard. It looked like a runaway stage coach, when they grabbed the tipped over gurney and took off.

This makes 2 years in a row that RBS has had JC down in the 4th quarter and lost the game. The boys have been competitive for quite some time now, and Jackson County has had their hands full for the last 3 or 4 years they've faced RBS! RBS will finish 3-7 but a 6-4 record was their for the taking...turnovers and the inability to finish games has killed RBS this year. I said RBS would score their points, but had to play some type of defense and for 3 quarters it looked like they did. I know losing someone to an injury is an awful thing, but the mentality to finish just isn't their. Until they can get the mentality to be able to go out and win football games, close football games, then 2-8 or 3-7 is the best they'll ever do.
