CHARGERFAN

I was awoke this morning to the groans of an animal in distress. When I open my front door there layed a dirty ole egg sucking bulldog. Looked light he had been in a fight and lost and had been recently neutered (like in the last 24 hours). He is gray with a purple collar and a bone shaped tag with a big " M " on it. He needs medical attention quick if y'all know who he belongs to.

you are pathetic and sad. Milan lost to a bad fourth quarter. There is no reason to utterly dispresct a football program like Milan's. congrats to Covington on their win.

Congratulations Milan on giving the Chargers a good game...best game all year! Just a little heads up Milan football parents: the two football players that got in a fight after the game put a dent in the van....don't know how big...but a lot of people saw it....don't know if the owner will get an estimate on it or let it slide....just wanted y'all to know. Congratulations Chargers on a well earned victory...you've got the skill, strength, and coaching to go all the way!

Dawg, if Covington wanted to win by 21 they could have. They took a few knees to end the game when they had full momentum and could've scored again had they wanted to. Did you not see that or were you one of the many dawg fans that left with five minutes left in the game?

. nope wouldn't have happened. your delusional to think anybody in the west can beat milan by 3 scores. but then again your a pioneer loser who has dillusions of grandeur about gibson county winning one game. go to the girls basketball boards. hear ya'll are pretty good at that. but it's basketball so nobody cares.

LOL, you can't handle facts well so you resort to downgrading another school. People like you are why no one can stand Milan football fans around here. I respect the program, but you guys are about as ignorant as it comes to a TRUE football fan. Be realistic about stuff.... I said this game would be a 17-21 point game and that it'd be close for a half and then Covington would pull away.... and it went just as I expected. Luckily, Wheeler showed sportsmanship and didn't win by 20.

Not going to name call or make fun of anyone. Just gonna say your facts are wrong. Covington has mercy ruled several people this year. If they could have done it to Milan..... they would have. As far as "they game went as you expected" and "17-21 pts"... The score board said 11 pts. The game was closer than alot of people think. Yes Covington did dominate the 4th qtr. But there were two plays that were the difference in that game. The missed reception in the endzone during the 1st qtr and the fumbled punt. But I'm not gonna sit here and say woulda coulda shoulda....we got beat.....Covington was the better team.....plain and simple. But don't act like Covington absolutely dominated the whole game and it could have been alot worse. It could have been alot closer!!!

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
