What's up with JCM coach?

The head coach of JCM was not on the sidelines for the Cougars last night in their loss to Liberty Magnet. According to the Jackson Sun, school superintendent Buddy White says the coach has been suspended pending an investigation for alligations made against him. Anyone know what the real deal is?

A great chance there is an illegal recuting violation. TSSAA went to JCM on Thursday. Montez Edwards is possibility in trouble because he went to North Parkway (a local middle school in Jackson) and told the football players at N. Parkway that he could get them (the players) into the NFL. It stur a lot of the other Jackson high school football coaches up.

I see where you are coming from and I am not well versed on all of the TSSAA rules, but I don't understand how that is a violation. Most of the students that go to North Parkway are zoned to go to JCM. I understand that the "zoning" in Jackson schools may change in the very near future but it hasn't as of yet. Seems to me that he is just trying to get these kids to stay with football once they get to JCM and that is a good thing for his program. There has to be more to the story because the info just doesn't add up so far.

But North Side is mad at JCM.

 

All of the kids that are zone for JCM has a choice to go to South Side or North Side, or stay at JCM.

Notice that I said "MOST" of the students at N. Parkway go to JCM. I understand that some go elsewhere. And JCM is a magnet school just like Liberty. Students that live "outside" the zone can apply to go there. I just don't think there is a problem with him talking to the football players at N. Parkway and trying to get them to play at JCM since most of them will be eligible to go there.

You guys are all off base on this. TSSAA hasn't been to the school. This is a personal deal with the coach and has nothing to do with the team. Don't know when he'll be back. Just wanted to shoot down these rumors. Nothing to see here. Move on

This YANKER is watching this unfold VERY CLOSELY. I can tell all of you JCM loyalists that if this has to do with illegal recruiting, after the way that Liberty has decimated our talent base both legally and illegally over recent years, this YANKER will verbally and openly attack the TSSAA and my identity will be revealed. I will not stand for us to be punished (even if guilty) without Liberty going down as well. My guess is that this is a personal issue with the coach being punished by the school for some unknown infraction...because a recruiting issue is ABSURD given what Liberty has done in recent years at the expense of my beloved JCM. I AM THE WORLD'S ONLY LIVING YANKER....and if the TSSAA is going to sanction JCM for illegal recruiting and not also punish the VERY GUILTY Liberty....then the TSSAA better beware of the WRATH of this YANKER....because I am much smarter than anything the TSSAA has to offer.
