Why were the brackets changed? The intitial pairings had White House playing CCS and Elizabethton playing ND. All other games are the same???

You weren't dreaming....look at what Chattanoogan.com stated today and is still up..

I know I wasn't dreaming...I printed the brackets. I still don't understand how you re-draw a blind draw. Especially, after you have posted the bracket for all to see.

Random Facts:

1. CCS frequently gets an early game. They host the tournament.

2. Initials (CPA,CCS,ND,CAK) always play teams with geographical names in the first round.

3. The initial brackets, whether in wrestling, football, or soccer, are subject to change.

4. Second place is no better than third.

5. It takes a three game winning streak to win the whole thing.

Certainly seems odd...

It's a simple explanation...

From the TSSAA soccer bylaws, Section III Article D: "The eight winners of the sectional games shall advance to the central tournament site. The Board of Control shall make the draw for play at the central tournament site. The draw will be made such that if two teams from the same region qualify for the state, they will be drawn to opposite brackets."

Apparently, someone was unaware that CPA and White House are in the same region. So, just like CCS/Notre Dame and Liberty/Sacred Heart, they have to be on opposite sides of the bracket. Someone caught the mistake and they redrew. No conspiracy here.

Leave it to the TSSAA to not even know what their regions are...icon_mrgreen.gif

    • Problem with DB football goes beyond coaching. Like Waco said. Thr band is the main focus of their community and school. They have the resources to be a championship level team. Guarantee Ballard or Witten could have them nationally relevant at some point but everyone down to peewee would have to buy in and at DB we all know that would never happen.
    • I know the RB from OR he’s fast and has good hands. Is good on special teams also. Didn’t want to play defense over to the Ridge.
    • Lieutenant Flip flops is on a roll. #1 recruiter in Anderson Co, fo-sho.
    • Has there been any effort to contact college coaches other than Trevecca?
    • 5star put out and article about the QB competition for Clinton like they have 9 other schools. They listed a QB that was previously on Powell’s roster last year. He was the Frosh that could throw great wearing number 5. He was not mentioned as a transfer.  HC was quoted in getting two running back transfers one being from OR that has been mentioned on these boards as well as another from TKA.  I had heard about these and more transfers. It is impressive that Clinton is able to steal away from the recruiter at Powell.  I wonder if the issue with the principal will change that or open the gates even more.
