So let me get this straight there is a chance of this happening with this years playoff seeding rules polk goes 3-7 with 3 district wins and gets a 2 seed sweetwater or mcinn central goes 2-8 with 2 district wins gets a 4 seed? district 4 could have a 6-4 team play a tough schedule and not even make playoffs! Someone please try to defend TSSAA on this one!

Until a large group of 20 or so schools decides to leave the TSSAA and start a new association. We will be subjected to this type of stuff. These districts show why we need to go back to the 5 class system. This shows Tennessee is not big enough for a 6 class system.

Chief I don't disagree with most of your points but please watch the language.

 

Five class isn't the issue here with teams like Collegedale being considered-they should just drop the same districts for football and basketball policy and redivide for football.

Chief, I am with you on this one. I was hoping 5AA would get split up, and Polk would go back to the Chattanooga area or 5AA would remain and add Loudon and maybe Kingston. Its rdiculous.

I don't have anything against teams from district 5AA I just can't believe (even as dumb as I think TSSAA is) that they can't catch this and even let it go to a vote!

In this proposal, 50% of District 5AA teams get priority seeding in football play-off. In 12AA and others it is 22%

Putting Loudon and Kingston in 5AA leaves 4 teams in dist. 4 the same thing your complaining about now. Doing away with dist 5 AA would domino everything west. Still trying to keep travel down in dist. Unless you can create more teams out of thin air in the east you still are going to have extremely large districts or some extremely small ones.

Maybe trousdales prop. Would make a difference by putting more teams. In the total mix.
