TheBlackPearl
If GV vs Greenback happens I will make the trip, even thou you ain't welcome there if you have front teeth. Gordonsville out matches them. GV defense does tire quickly but I think the lead they build early will offset that. GV QB has a down the chimney pass that 2 defenders could not stop. I thought the first time he threw it was a fluke but then he did it again for the last TD. Coalfield loses setting up a classic semi. goodtimecharlie
Does greenback have anything close to the caliber of #2 for south pitt ? That cat is hard to put socks on.
TheAmbassador
Greenback has a #2 that is pretty dang good. He isn't as fast as Johnson, but he is a really good player. Overall I can't say that Greenback's QB and RB combination is any better than SP was with Johnson, Stone, Lankford and Hale.

jake
Does greenback have anything close to the caliber of #2 for south pitt ? That cat is hard to put socks on. Yep, and he is #2 also. He has great vision, and can cut on a dime without slowing, and looks like he is about full speed after two steps, these two things to me are more important for a RB than what his 40 time is. Because of this, and the type offense they run, their O line can give him a quick cut block and he is at the next level, and he is as good at cutting in the hole as I have seen. If he has a downfall, it is his size, he is not very big, but he runs a lot bigger than he is. Most of the plays that I saw SP run in the GV game, required the O line to get on a block and maintain it in order to give the RB time to get where he was going......in other words the plays looked to be rather slow developing. I don't think the GB O line could line up and manhandle the GV D line, but with their offense, they don't have to. Their offense utilizes the O lines strength, and that is good technique, and quick feet (they move well). When the LB's start creeping up, and they try to get the safety up to stop the run, then they are capable of faking to #2 and going over your head with the pass. scooter
Hoping that Coalfield wins. Would love for Coalfield to come here as opposed to me driving to Greenback. Not like your post Croz, got some business to take care of tomorrow night before making plans for next week. Go GV.
