Christina Rayes (don't think thats the right spelling) of kinsgton would have to be right up there with any cf in the state of tennessee. she has all the tools. Cara Stiles from soddy ,does alot of really nice things. I saw both at ut advance camp and they were both really nice players.

I second that post about Camille. WOW, we played her a couple times my freshman year and that kid could cover some ground!

Also, I have to throw in a word about Ashley McCool from Ezell. She plays the ball better than anyone I have ever seen. She hasn't played center in school ball b/c we needed her at short last year, but she did get to play center in summer ball for the brentwood blues and she did awesome!

Katie Parks a sophmore at Campbell County is one of the best centerfielders I have seen in twenty years of coaching softball. She has 100 meter track speed and covers the outfield extremely quick. She also has a very strong arm. Probaly her best access is her bat, she started the 2002 season by going 32 for 32 in her first thirty-two at-bats. She wounld up the season with a .810 batting average and making the All State team in Arkansas.

32 hits in her first 32 at bats? Or 32 consecutive plate appearance reaching base, including reaching on errors and walks? I am sorry but either way sounds pretty unbelievable, or she faced the worst pitching on Earth. And all that and she was just a freshman. I hate to sound like I am badmouthing and I am sure she is a very good player but it just seems far fetched.

    • Honestly the A.D. may be powerless at Maryville to some degree versus other schools. I know he has his hands full with GoFan and all the stupid surprises just from the emails he sends out during the season.
    • Harriman was better than what I anticipated. They had good skill guys and a QB that’s gonna make a lot of teams look silly. They had some silly pre snap penalties but it’s just spring and I guess that’s expected.    Oneida looks the part. They are big upfront and got a stable of backs that’s gonna carry them this year. They have a few playmakers at receiver also. They have a new receiver that has only played basketball till this year and he is very athletic. The question is can we find a QB to consistently get them the ball. They played 2-3 kids there and none looked great but they didn’t look awful either. The  defense is gonna be tough again but it’s very early and a lot can change between now and the fall.     It was good just to get out and watch some ball. I don’t know if Oneida has the team to win the region this year but just what I saw tonight I think they may be in the conversation come November.
