BasketballTN1098
What's the deal with coaches risking it all to play someone who isn't eligible? It seems this has happened too much this year. I believe this is the third team since tourneys started.
CarolinaCrazy
This is awful!! What about the district teams they knocked out and don't have a chance to play in region and substates? I think when these thing happen, and were getting four or five of them each year, and most are from west Tennessee, the coach should be suspended first, then the team should be put on a 2-3 year post season ban, and the school should pay a fine, not to tssaa, but to the league or teams they screwed out of their dream of playing in the post season. Until there's some real penalties, this crap will happen every year. This 23 year old should go to jail too!! Not forever, but for a while, like 90 days. Lol. Any team caught cheating like this should be banned for 2-4 years from playing in the post season tourney's. What about the good teams they've beaten with a 23 year old and those kids have to sit at home? There should be much more punishment than just one game forfeited. This coach should be banned from coaching he knew how old the kid was. Memphis schools are always doing something under handed to try and win. What are you guys teaching the kids down there? Win at all cost no matter what? What has TSSAA said about this?
BasketballTN1098
Lol that's a little harsh don't you think? I do believe there should be a post season ban. Also the coach should have some kind of punishment but what if his papers were forged and the coach didn't know? That the schools fault not his. I'm not saying that is the case here but just in general.
GCPioneer
I say replace Ridgeway with White Station, lol... Dyer Co. fans will agree....
Yellowstone
Don't think you should punish the players and future players with a postseason ban. That doesn't help anyone. Fire the coach immediately. And he isn't allowed to coach for 3 years.

It's not about punishing future players, it's about giving the offended schools a better chance of making post season the next couple years since they were screwed out of it this year. Also, Memphis has some of the most liberal transfer rules in America, those ridgeway kids could be playing for another school tomorrow if they wanted too. 1warrior
I feel the punishment is just. I don't see Coach Hennings DRESSING this guy knowing he was ineligible. I say DRESSING this guy, because he wasn't a starter nor a real difference maker. I really hate this for the kids.
Galilee
Just got a phone call and learned this, and I hope it is not true. The player is 22 and is married to a parent that has a son on the team. She registered him as her foster child in school with fake documents. Her son is fathered by a past MCS standout. If true this is going national.

CarolinaCrazy
Lol. Only in Memphis! No wonder they are considered the hot bed of high school ball players, they cheat like crazy!!!
