truthhurts
Don't be shocked if he jumps to DLU. Many could not make the jump from high school to college but he could. DLU is his alma mater. He is in their Halll of Fame. He is from the Don Meyer tree. He is local and can garner support. His daughter played there in college. He is the right religion. And he can flat out coach. The timing may be right for him to do this. If he ever had the itch then it may be perfect timing.

I thought about him but thought maybe at 50 or so, he wouldn't want to make the jump to college. But it would be a good fit.

Yellowstone
Bowers went to Belmont didn't he? You are really informed. He is in the Lipscomb Hall of Fame. Played for Meyer. Meyer's favorite player.

BigENS
If Bowers ever wanted to coach college now would be the time. The franchise is on his way to "The U" so stepping up to the college ranks could happen. Still think Drew would be a better choice. What about Jan the man Van Breda Kolf? By the way, all the talk about Meyers favorite, I think we can all agree who wasn't on that list - D. Henrie!
cbg
Lipscomb is a very unique coaching situation due to the fact that over 99% of all qualified basketball coaches are eliminated before the interview process because they are not a practicing Church of Christ. Bowers has everything and more that the university should be looking for in a coach. His legacy at Ensworth would be fine as Paul Wade could takeover the football program and they would not miss a beat. Drew could transfer from CPA, receive a pay increase, have better facilities, a larger athletic bank account and the Ensworth men basketball program would continue there state championship ways along with making a run at a national title. bigchief
Do not assume that Lipscomb will hold to the church of Christ membership requirement. Things are not what they used to be there with the leadership now. We will see.
